Capitol goods produced where? In the USA? A good thing. Imported? Who gives a sh*t.

A lot of good economic news right now. I see the papers are downplaying it or not reporting it at all. Contrast the 8 years of the economy attached to the Obama anchor versus the economic renaissance starting under Trump.

As far as the indicator, all durable goods orders being positive is wonderful. Even if they are imported. It shows that capital is flowing in to projects that are long term investments for business activity. Doesn’t matter so much where we buy them from,as long as we are buying for the long haul.

Even if they are imported.

It's important if you care about the USA. An increase in orders for imported durable goods help factories in foreign countries and the towns and people surrounding them prosper. For us it is net drain of wealth. Our biggest exports to China are empty shipping containers and T-bills.

Anyone else struck by positive revisions instead of negative? Does this mean there’s even more swamp to drain?

Everyone hates China but with them, could we afford many of the products we need and enjoy?

Before my granddaughter was born (she’s two now), I thought it would be nice to buy her a crib made in America. I found a nice one online but it was $2,000. I found a really nice one with attached changing table and drawers for $320. It was made in China. No way on social security I can afford $2,000. So I am in the minority of those who appreciate China.

There is no difference in price. The Ford Focus will be made in China and shipped duty free to the USA. Ford did not reduce the sticker price one penny.

I didn’t buy a Focus. I bought a crib. It was made in China and it was cheaper. That’s all.

And the Dollar vs the rest of the world just lost 10% off its value.
SOOOOOOOOO ...In reality, "durable goods orders +6.5% vs +3.7% expected" is LESS than the 10 PERCENT DROP OF THE DOLLAR, Obama's printing of TRILLIONS OF WORTHLESS DOLLARS ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST !

Looks like the trend is showing the economy is recovering and may be poised to boom.

If the Republicans in Congress get on board the President’s agenda.

You had a choice? Really , how much more was the made in the USA? How much better quality was the USA made product? I wouldn't put a precious baby in that Chink made crib. Gross. To each his own. We need a tariff to take that option away, the price may be higher now but US competition will kick in and prices will stabilize. Otherwise the USA is doomed and without a manufacturing base we are the world's bitch.

PS: Sorry you are in such financial straights you HAD to buy Gook made crib.

The American company went out of business. Probably because people couldn’t afford their furniture. I live in NC, which used to be the furniture capital of the world. No longer.
The crib has held up fine.

It’s even less now then when I bought it two years ago.

Probably because people couldn’t afford their furniture.

Some how my parents managed to raise three kids, mom stayed home with a one earner income household and every stick of furniture we had was made in the USA. I still have some of it.

You are so full of BS. Your types are anti American globalist Free Traitors™. The worst of the worst. When CWII comes it will be the rope and light post for them.
