Suspected leaker Michael Short has been terminated from the White House communications office, Breitbart News can confirm.
Short, an ally of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and now former Press Secretary Sean Spicer—who resigned last week—was terminated on Tuesday by new White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
Short originally worked for the Trump campaign—placed on it by Priebus—and quit the campaign, sources tell Breitbart News, after the Access Hollywood tape came out. Politico confirmed this report, noting that Short walked out in the middle of the campaign leaving his computer behind only to show back up in January at the behest of the Republican National Committee (RNC) allies in the White House.
“He was scorned by many of his colleagues for quitting the Trump campaign, only to rejoin as a White House staffer because of Priebus,”
Multiple White House sources confirm to Breitbart News that Short was a leaker, and worked closely with now former White House deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh—another RNC wing official who was terminated earlier this year for her own leaking.
Short has not responded to a request for comment on the questions about his leaking. But he did tell CNN he does not believe he has been fired, even though multiple White House sources confirm he has been.
Scaramucci has confirmed multiple times in interviews over the weekend that he plans to root out leakers throughout the White House.
Now, on Tuesday, he has again confirmed that he will terminate everyone if necessary to stop the leaks.

To me, firing isn’t enough. Leaking classified information should carry jail time.
I’ve suspected Priebus as a problem within the WH since his appointment. I think he’s an undercover Bushy Establishment Soldier.

Never understood the preibus position. He was GOPe and borderline never Trumper. He played it down the middle and got the appointment. Hasn’t done anything to help trump.

However, I saw another name that I really like for the position floated recently: Jim DeMint.
Whether Short is the leaker or whether he isn’t, Scaramucci needed to do something like this right off the bat. Pour encourager les autres.
We don’t know whether in this case they have prosecution-worthy evidence that the guy leaked classified evidence.

It will be interesting to see if the latest firing makes a difference. And I’ll be glad if Priebus goes, too. Is there anything likeable about him??

Scaramucci is one of the best things Trump has done for his inner office. IMMHO. A fearless guy who just deals with things as they need dealing with.

Priebus shut down any attempts to challenge Trump at the convention. He crushed those little uprisings.
He also had the apparatus in place that Trump used for his campaign as Trump really didn’t have a national organization in place.
Priebus may have been lukewarm on Trump up to the Convention, but from that point onward, he was the best ally President Trump had.
