I was going to say we need a comedy about the militarization of the police, but didn’t Tackleberry shoot a cat out of a tree? Police Academy. The most relevant movie of ours or any times.

That guy was an affirmative action hire because he is Muslim. He should not be a cop. He was put there by the libs in MN to appease the Somalis. You can’t blame cops for what the social justice loons are trying to do to law enforcement.

The approach of the holster-sniffing / bootlicking crowd around here is absolutely remarkable.
It is as if they could never envision themselves in a simple day-to-day common situation that turns (preventably) tragic via embracing simple steps.
They are in a rush to provide cover for this Noor maniac who shot an innocent woman from INSIDE the car past his partner's chest. Unreal.

Do you really think they would let anyone get away with putting “Muslim cop” on the sign? They would be prosecuted for a hate crime. People are encouraged to criticize cops but not allowed to criticize Muslims.

What, and get shot? Are you crazy?
To: yarddog
There are no other jobs where merely being in uniform can be an invitation to violence. A construction worker falling off a scaffold is not quite the same thing as being shot as you sit in your car because you are a cop.

The Mini-apple-louse CoP was a cop right?
She was responsible for hiring, firing and training her staff.
There are plenty of lib police.

What the hell does a uniform have to do with it?

Yes, but the ones who get promoted are the ones approved by the city government. They tend to be the political types. You can’t blame ordinary cops for that. Blame the voters in MN.

Yes, but that is generally due to accidents, not deliberate attack.

I understand that, but in fact it did not say Somali immigrant cops startle easily it said Twin City Police. It was the shooter's partner who said that they were startled by a loud noise. He's not Somali. The caption isn't far off.

Suggestion... do a ride-a-long with a cop some night. See what they do. Easy to talk when you aren’t the one being faced with split-second decisions that might mean life or death for you or someone else.

You cant blame cops for what the social justice loons are trying to do to law enforcement. How many more officers do they have hired for affirmative action reasons? Muslim, African-American, Native American, lesbian, transgender, etc, etc.? And how is John Q. Public supposed to know which of the officers that he might run into fall into that category? Doesn't it make sense to operate under the assumption that they ALL startle easily, as long as the department chooses to salt the force with unqualified people?

Possibly true in large cities. I don’t worry about it where I live. So far, PC hasn’t hit our local force.

Did my stint on patrol for years and still think Noor was an untrained idiot given the job for politics, not that he was a well trained Cop.
To: Bonemaker
Mediocre? They would have to improve vastly just to reach mediocre level.

Except that this isn’t the only shooting by a startled cop. There are many posters talking about near misses and incidents with police.
Police tactics have changed. So much so that they have rules of engagement much more open then ones being used in combat. We have militarized the police force without a change in the chain of command to accommodate that.

I see little difference in this generic police bashing and Black Lives Matter. You were probably terrible at these when you were a kid:
