President Trump has floated the possibility of replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions with his steadfast ally Rudy Giuliani to serve in the top Justice Department post, Axios reported Monday.
Trump broached the idea in internal discussions about bringing in and surrounding himself with staunch supporters, sources within the West Wing told the news outlet.
Before The New York Times interview last week, Trump had already expressed anger and frustration at Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation, Axios reports.
Trump, during the interview, opined that Sessions' decision to recuse himself was "unfair" to him and he would've likely picked another person to lead the Justice Department if he had known this is the move Sessions would make.
In a tweet on Monday, Trump went after Sessions, calling him “beleaguered” and questioned why the attorney general and federal investigators are not looking into Hillary Clinton for her “crimes” and ties to Russia.

By going into hiding and doing absolutely nothing to de-politicize the DOJ or prosecute Hillary and Huma, Sessions is at this very moment doing exactly what the left wants.

My post was correct about Okeydoker.
But he kept Comey on longer than should have ever been. He now keeps equally corrupt McCabe. That Obama IRS stooge is still in. He put someone like McMasters in place of Flynn. Puzzling how he can focus on this while letting so much else going on. Sessions has been a disappointment yet there are others that are openly enemies with him!
Like I said, several here are trying waaaay to hard to explain some of Trump’s actions, or non-actions. You have a theory you want to apply to most any situation and you couldn’t prove that theory if your life depended on it.
Threads like this clearly show the difference between those Freepers who see the U.S. Attorney General as nothing more than a political figure and those who understand that the person in this particular post has legal obligations -- and deals with legal risks -- that go way beyond politics.
If you just want the AG to be a political cheerleader, why even have an attorney at all? Just put Vince McMahon or Hulk Hogan in that position, and be done with it.

Rudy didn’t want the AG position. I think he wanted Sec of State and look how Tillerson has turned out! Rudy would have been better there as well. We need to clone Rudy.

No, he didn't. If Comey was fired any earlier, then the allegations of obstruction of justice would have had more credibility.
It's no coincidence that Trump waited until AFTER Comey had said in his public testimony before the U.S. Senate in early May that President Trump was not the subject of an FBI investigation.
That was the trigger that allowed Trump to fire him. Once this point was made clear in sworn testimony by the FBI director, then firing the FBI director (by definition) could not legally be considered an act of obstruction of justice.
It’s clear you have no earthly idea how Trump and his deal-making proclivities work. Therefore when anyone explains it, it’s Greek to you. Suffice it to say, others are not as completely in the dark. We have understood Trump and his MO for quite some time. From our POV, it’s crystal clear. Things have changed, and Trump has responded accordingly.

Yeah Rudy is all you say but Rudy is also all those of us in the Heartland rejected when his name was run up the flag before: pro-choice; pro-gun control; pro-gay marriage and entire gay agenda; pro-open border, and the list simply goes on.
Rudy was a great US Attorney to bring down the Mob in 70s and great mayor of NYC to clean up the filth everywhere, also great spokesman for NYC during 9/11 event and probably would even go after Hillary, well maybe but I think the Clinton machine and Rudy's chums might just be too close!
Go after a guy like KS SOS Kris Kobach, strong 2nd Amendment, strong pro-life supporter, ruthless on voter fraud and rock solid on Border, illegal aliens, punishing everyone for exploiting American jobs to illegals!

Rudy was 57 in 2001 (at the end of two spectacular terms as mayor, which started when he was 49).
He is now 73.
Being that I am more than halfway down that road myself, I suspect that Rudy has gained in wisdom, but probably lost some of his combative edge.

I watched a riding exhibition once at the National Horse Show. They put an English rider on a cow pony, told him exactly what to do, and pointed him toward a band of cows. It was a disaster. The guy only knew how to ride English, and he simply could not grasp the dynamic of a flawlessly trained cow pony.

Trump is not you. You didn’t write The Art of the Deal. You didn’t defeat ~18 seasoned pols, the MSM, the Uniparty, the Swamp, etc., etc., to become POTUS. You haven’t lived your whole life making deals. That’s just a fact.
