President Donald Trump’s plan to eliminate dozens of federal agencies and programs has collapsed, as a conservative Republican Congress refuses to go along.
Among the programs spared are agencies promoting rural business development and the arts, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Community Development Block Grants and the National Wildlife Refuge Fund. Those and many others are getting money in bills approved by the GOP-run House appropriations committee. The House plans to vote on spending bills throughout next week, and the Senate is expected to consider spending plans shortly.
Trump unveiled his $4.1 trillion budget plan in March, pledging to “reduce the federal government to redefine its proper role and promote efficiency.”

Pres. Trump should tweet or go on camera and state that the establishment R’s want to take $590 MILLION away from job-promoting programs and instead dump it into programs that <2% of the population actually participate in....

I agree. People tend to think their particular elected officials aren’t the problem because its hard to accept the reality that you voted for a lying scoundrel. In general, people are not inclined to admit their errors in judgement or actions so they blame the congress’ failures on the people that everyone else voted for.
How many will openly admit they they voted for the wrong person? That they were duped again? That they were lazy and just pulled the lever for the name they recognized?
Rarely do you ever come across anyone who is willing to admit to making mistakes, being careless, or doing the wrong thing. Accepting responsibility is not inherently a human trait but blaming others definitely is. ;)
Trump responds positively to those who elected him, while the Congressional GOP leadership ignores the electorate that gave them their majorities. Tragic.
