All over the Western world, the MSM gets taken over by intellectuals who live in a closed world in which the agenda they see in their imagination becomes the reality, and actual reality is something to be wished away.
The ordinary people who have to pay the price because they’re not inside the intellectual’s little false-reality bubble are seen as an acceptable level of collateral damage, unfortunate but necessary to get to an imaginary future of multicultural peace and sustainable harmony.
The MSM is populated by the products of the communist controlled universities, where the faculties never set foot in the real world themselves. They lived all their lives in a false utopian academic bubble, and what they turn out are replicas of themselves to populate another generation of faculty, the staffers of government agencies, and news reporters. They occasionally “dabble” in contact with the real world, but only as necessary and in a clinically warped way that reinforces rather than alters the conceived notions.
I will bet that not one of them ever had to do a month of real work on a concrete crew, or work the floor of a factory or steel mill. Nor do they really know anything about the people who do. But these academicians, bureaucrats and newsreporters know what is best for them, and they don’t mind telling you.
Every word is so true. Great post.
“Public Intellectual”. Is actually neither. They lack the rigor of honest analysis and massage opinion for whatever is the declared flavor of the month.
