Somali American police officer Mohamed Noor shot Aussie Justine Damond dead this past weekend.
Mohamed Noor reached over his partner and shot Damond dead while she was speaking to his partner.
Damond called the police to report a possible assault down the alley behind her home.
Mohamed was the first Somali officer in his precinct.
Damond was shot and killed while wearing her pajamas and speaking to another police officer after calling 911 to report a possible assault in an alley behind her home on July 15, reports The Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Noor's partner was described as "stunned" by the shooting.
CBS Minneapolis reported that Damond "made the 911 call and was speaking to police officers Saturday night. They were near the alley when the officer in the passenger seat reached across and shot her. A cell phone was found near Damond's body."

The only legitimate explanation I can think of is Noor thought his partner was about to be executed. And that's not much of an excuse if the situation was as it has been described.
Did he immediately arrest his partner?
Or he’s a Somalian and that’s the only law her really knows.

It could be negligent homicide. He may have been reckless in unholstering his weapon and pointing it at the driver's side door "just in case" and he accidentally pulled the trigger. She was hit in the stomach so I would really like to know whether the round went through the car door.

His first response was WTF just happened, followed by Dude, you just shot that lady!
The County Corner has already ruled her death a homicide.
The guy already has three open abuse claims against him. And that’s just while he was in uniform.
I’m thinking maybe she recognized Noor from some prior encounter, and he killed her before she could say anything.

I know nothing about this case other than what I’ve read here on FR, but I’m willing to bet that this Somali cop is one of the dumbest people ever to wear a uniform ... and that includes a Burger King employee’s uniform, too.
I read a couple of sites yesterday which stated the round went through the door.
