This is breaking on McConnel's twitter feed. Statement to abandon repeal/replace for a straight repeal with a 2 year delay to replace.

It is not true. Conservatives, of all people, should familiarize themselves with the Constitution. It says each House of Congress makes its own rules. Congress is a separate branch of our three-part federal government. Each house votes for its own leadership, and only they (each house) can change their leadership. All any president can do, if so desired, is to try to influence votes for the leadership. Traditionally that is not done, at least publicly, due to respect for separation of powers.
Another example of tyranny by the majority i.e. those who get free benefits or receive undue entitlements. These SOBs in both parties can go KMA when they bankrupt the entire country over their giveaways. I am tired of it. I worked and saved for what little I got and be damned if I am going to sit back and watch that erode to nothing all the while celebrating Pyrrhic victories.
States and cities are bankrupt or close to it. Solution, raise taxes. Even if raising taxes solved the immediate problem of deficit spending, it is a long term economy killer. Simple math, you cannot have 60 or 70% of the electorate receiving far more than they put in.
Regarding medical care (not insurance) I do not wish to pay for someone elses health care. It is that simple. One should pay for it by either putting aside money, protecting themselves from catastrophe by having insurance, by receiving “gifts”; not at the point of a gun. Sorry if you cannot afford a 60 inch TV because you need go to the doctor. In fact, if less of these doctor visits were paid for directly, there would be less visits. Eat well, drink sparingly, don’t smoke, don’t take drugs, exercise and don’t get involved in deviant sexual behaviors and most would be far more healthy. Lastly, “health insurance” is not health care. I am beyond tired of having that concept misused.
I intend to keep my mouth shut on this issue of bankrupting the US from here out lest I be banned for life.
This is good news. Everyone knows that IF they do a repeal it may be forever before they get around it. They are too busy with important stuff like naming a statue or some such happy horse sh!t.
To me, it’s not good news because it denies Trump a very visible win on one of his major campaign promises.
We’re fighting the media, the RATS and, clearly, the Gross Old Party. Trump needs to stop being nice to these turn-coat, do-nothing losers and publicly shame them for being the worthless vermin that they are.
Has he finished putting in unacceptable KICKBACKS?
Mitch MCConnell slips more KICKBACK
deals into Senate healthcare bill

Wouldn’t this require sixty votes?
Given the expectations of the folks, this would be a stupid thing to do. The people expect free goodies from the government.
The ONLY replacement for ACA AKA Government healthcare is NO GOVERNMENT healthcare AKA THE FREE MARKET!!!!
The voluntary cooperation directly between patients and doctors in the marketplace free from government interference is the best healthcare system in the world which America had until the feds started unconstitutionally screwing it up in the 60s.
KICK THE POLITICIANS OUT OF HEALTHCARE. They dont care about your health, only their political careers.
Rather than ‘comprehensive heath care reform’... why not pass one little bill dealing with one agreed upon problem?
‘Comprehensive’ bills don't work.
No one knows what's stuffed in comprehensive bills or what the costs will be - or what's really covered. Secrecy matters to groups set up to financially benefit from the any law, but secrecy works against the American people.
Comprehensive immigration reform plans are a classic example - everything for lobbyists and legislators and nothing for the everyday citizen. Passing bills in pieces stops the corruption.
Where to start?
Here's a logical start: protect nursing home patients on medicaid. Middle class families can't ‘take grandma' home’ and 90 year olds in nursing homes can't ‘get a job’...
So write ONE bill covering one issue and let it be discussed by ALL of us - not just doctor's groups or insurers or nursing home specialists or extreme liberal ‘spenders’ but ALL of us.
After thinking about this, yes. This is a good thing. Pass a REPEAL only vote & expose the traitors. It’s the only way to remove cover.
agreed...I also believe if the gov withdrew completely from healthcare regulations, the free market along with competition would lower the premiums, create more flexible plans, and eventually have plans that cover preconditions. Allowing plans to be sold across all the states would also contribute to lowering premiums. Lower premiums equals more people covered...AND kick the illegals out of the USA, as they suck up all the emergency room space with the flu, colds and fevers, at the taxpayers exspense.
agree with your statement. I’d like to add that if voter ID Nation Wide was implemented, quite possibly those RINO’s would have lost.
Yes! Repeal NOW!
I don’t care about “replace”. I’d just like to see some commonsense laws passed regarding health insurance. For example,
1. Allow it to be sold across state lines.
2. Require health care providers to post the costs of procedures. BEFORE I agree to have it done.
3. Charge the same amount to an uninsured person as you do to the insurance company.
I want no replace. I want no involvement from the Government in any aspect of health insurance. Their job is the defense of this nation and the free flow of commerce between the states and that is it period end of discussion. Anything above and beyond that is unconstitutional
Perfect!
Exactly. Actually January.
What I see is the Republicans setting up Trump for failure after failure and he keeps falling for it. Go after Ryan and McConnell
Hard to believe how inept the republicans are now that they have everything. I saw Schumer this AM saying maybe now the republicans will come out from closed doors and work with democrats like the Senate has for 200 years. I haven’t heard anyone remind him that’s how obamacare was passed, but I had to turn off the news as it isn’t good for my health.
