The biggest star of the US Women’s Open golf championship held at the Trump National Golf Club on Friday was not a female golfer.
The President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, arrived to his golf club in Bedminster, N.J., just as the number 3 ranked player in the world, Lexi Thompson, who has played with the president in Florida, was set to take a shot, the New York Times reported.

But it had to be tough to not pay attention when the crowd erupted in cheers, screams, and chants of “make America great again” and “Mr. President.”
President Trump was accompanied by first lady Melania Trump, who dressed casually in belted slacks and a long sleeve jersey, and his son Eric.

Some of the crochety older pros get upset if they hear a camera click just before they hit a shot. A couple of years ago that ass Davis Love III refused to hit a tee shot until an offender was removed. Rabbit ears! ...The younger pros don’t seem to be bothered as much by noise from the gallery. Ricky Fowler, Bubba Watson, etc., seem to like the noise.
I played 3 rounds every weekend at my CC and once a week on a team in the company golf league. ....We were mostly polite to one another, but the razzing and joking among us was part of what made it so enjoyable. Folks were usually quiet when someone was ready to hit the ball.
Such a delight in having an actual woman in The White House again. And what a woman!
