Not many things shock me, but I confess that I have been shocked by what I have learned about the Edina public school system. Indoctrination in left-wing politics begins in elementary school, where children are taught the pernicious doctrine of “white privilege.” In Edina, not even bus drivers are exempt: they, too, are required to take political re-education classes.
Here are excerpts from some of the communications we have gotten from Edina parents and students. There are lots more at the links.
This one is from a student:
The day after the election I was texting my mom to pick me up from school and she almost had to!! Every teacher was crying in class, one even told the whole class “Trump winning is worse than 9/11 and the Columbine shooting.” The amount of liberal propaganda that was pushed every single day in class this year was worse than it’s ever been–and you’re bullied by the teachers and every student if you dare speak against it.
Yeah its horrible, the teachers can absolutely do whatever they want. The administration will do nothing about it!! The day of the election every single student was in the commons chanting “F*** TRUMP” and the teachers never did anything. A LOT of people are starting to complain and my mom has some friends who are leaving the school district.
A parent describes her daughter being abused in class in an email to a school administrator:
In talking with [my daughters], it came out that yesterday in my 10th grader’s AP World class, [the teacher] called out any Trump supporters and asked them to assure the class that they weren’t racist. Both my husband and I were aghast and we felt strongly that we should say something to you. …

Right after the Election I drove past the local High School at the end of the School Day.
I was stopped at a Light and the “Chillen” were crossing the Street directly in front of my Car.
The looks on their faces were something to see when they spotted my ‘TRUMP 45” License Plate. If glaring was a Class, most of them would be A Students.
This isn’t in Los Angeles where we are Educating half of Mexico, this is in South Orange County, the former bastion of Conservatism along the CA Coast.
These poor kids, blind led by the blind. They don’t know what they’re missing.
I’ve seen it in print happening. What’s to explain? This is like trying to explain 2+2=4 to a doubter.
You made a statement that I did not understand-—it happens.
Most FReepers would have given me an explanation.
You refused to explain it and even said that God rebukes me—a bewildering statement that makes absolutely no sense in this context.

What is happening in our schools (K-16) is beyond disgusting; it’s criminal. They are propagating a severe mental illness.
In a perfect world there would be no leftists. None. They are the bane of human existence. The world has enough problems without leftists constantly making things much worse.
Even though I dread the idea of open warfare between the left and right; when I read these kinds of articles it almost makes me wish we are already in that future war. Leftist thinking (indoctrination) is a disease of the mind, a mental illness with no known cure, a true soul crushing evil of Biblical proportions. Leftism is pure evil.
I’ve come to terms that leftists are really not that much different than the walking dead on the show “The Walking Dead” except the real life walking dead leftists are far more deadly than those on the TV show.
Traditional liberals exist, but they are cowed by the authoritarian liberals, social justice warriors, who spout the same language of empathy and care that liberals use as the measure of morality while demanding oppression of others.
And because liberals and SJWs share the same general social trait of openness and lack of boundaries, the classic liberals are usually unable to argue against SJW demands for censorship, segregation or mob action against targets - because it is in the name of defending the cry-bully and/or its oppressed group.
I am in favor of anything that reduces the number of leftards from Dumbfuckistan invading the sacred soil of Texas. I lived in Austin when the dotcommies swarmed over the border and bid up the price of housing because they couldn’t understand why it was so “cheap”. I say, put a bounty on them like we used to have on coyotes, $50 an ear.

Traditional liberals do exist but they are older (over 60 usually) and are not really aware their party left them long ago.
There are no traditional liberal politicians to my knowledge though. The closest one is a fraud and claims to be a socialist; Bernie Sanders. A true socialist would not own 3 nice homes all paid for. The latest vacation home on a lake somewhere is believed to be his prize for playing nice during the election. A true socialist would have been happy with a pat on the back, a few kind words, and maybe a Kewpie Doll.
I put about the same value on them as you do. Ear’s optional. ;)
And if you are a commie/sadist, it's a lot more fun to berate children than just about anything legal.
In fact, as my child's homeschool teacher I learned a lot that I had never learned ... back when I was in public school.
If you're not confident you can teach some subjects, e.g. languages or advanced math, there are plenty of online high school programs offered by both state universities and private institutions.
The child whom I homeschooled, who is now an adult, is self-sufficient and working in a career he loves. What's even better is that he didn't have the love of learning snuffed out of him by our horrible public schools.
