Facing the threat of a lawsuit from Texas and eight other states, the Trump administration indicated Wednesday that it may decline to defend DACA in court, a move that would likely result in the end of the program that granted amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. when they were children.
Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly went up to Capitol Hill on Wednesday afternoon to address members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, telling them, according to reports, that although he personally supports the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, he cant promise that the administration will defend it if challenged.
Several members of Congress pressured Kelly in the meeting, and he responded by suggesting they work to pass a law.
Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, a Cuban-American and a Democrat, told reporters after the meeting: "It's not a pretty picture."

Love it!
Umm...Trump sorta’ ran on getting rid of it, being unconstitutional and all.
“Compassionate Conservative” is always a massive FAIL.
It’s an old play from the lib game-book: invite a lawsuit against a law you don’t like, decline to defend, and lose by default.
Yeah, weird take on this. Reverse psychology ?
Bigly Win
MAGA
Can we also end the Deferred Action on Corruption Act, and finally prosecute the Clintons, Comey, Brennan, Rice, Abedin, Podesta, the former President known as Obama, et al?
Verrrry confusing title for those like me who are not legal eagles.
Good.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Can someone tell me the “shocking” part?
I want to ask those who support this BS - if a bank robber or embezzler does things illegally, and gets caught, do his kids and wife get to keep the stolen money and houses/cars bought with the ill gotten gains? If not, why not? They didn’t do anything illegal!
By the liberal logic on immigration, shouldn’t their kids get to keep the lavish lifestyle they have only known their whole lives? I mean, it would cruel to enforce the laws on those poor, innocent, guilt-less children!
Then there are those who argue that they didn’t know they broke the law by being here illegally. Last time I checked, ignorance of the law is NEVER an excuse...unless your last name is Clinton. Then the FBI director will stretch the law to include “intent” as a requirement of the law, even when it does not read in that manner.
Never seen this one coming.............................s

Love it. That way the racist Caucus can’t sit there and rant and rave.
Congress uses this tactic all the time to justify wimping out on abortion, to wit: “Personally I’m against murdering the innocent, but...”
By the way, having a Black and Hispanic Caucus is not a display of Black and Hispanic Supremacy...why?

The USSC approved Trump's Immigration Ban....thanks to Sessions. And Sessions said he's all geared up to defend the ban again in the fall. (It's a time thing....as the 90 days runs out...and might need an extension. Sessions is prepared.
I call him "The Mouse that Roars".
The USA is not accustomed to a soft spoken gentlemanly southerner like Sessions.
By the way, having a Black and Hispanic Caucus is not a display of Black and Hispanic Supremacy...why?
Always a favorite question, I can never get an answer, let me know how you make out.
LOL! It's like the Democrat politician who always says "While I am personally against abortion, I can do nothing to stop it..."
It's funny to finally see the liberals get it this time.
In the Wray hearing yesterday, the left defended Sally Yates and her decision to not defend Trump’s immigration restriction - called her decision “independence,” and disparaged Trump for firing her.
