Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday released a stunning chain of emails detailing his conversations about setting up a campaign meeting with a Russian lawyer who had offered compromising information on Hillary Clinton.
The information “would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father,” reads one of the emails from Rob Goldstone, who acted as an intermediary to set up the meeting.
“This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump,” wrote Goldstone.
In one of the emails released on Twitter, referring to the information on Clinton, Trump Jr. told Goldstone: “If it's what you say I love it.”
In another email, Goldstone suggested the information about Clinton could be given to then-candidate Donald Trump through Rhona Graff, his longtime aide.
“I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to sent to you first,” Goldstone wrote.
The White House has not responded to the latest disclosure from the president’s son. Spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Monday that Trump only learned of the meeting in the last few days.
She has denied that Trump Jr. colluded with the Russians in any way. American intelligence agencies have determined that Moscow meddled in the 2016 election on Trump’s behalf.
Trump has not commented publicly on the meeting.
Goldstone, a music producer who represents a Russian pop star named Emin Agalarov, has connections to both Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Trump. Agalarov's father was Trump’s partner in bringing the Miss Universe pageant to Russia in 2013.

This sentence copied from the email is a concern in my opinion:
“This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump—helped along by Aras and Emin.”
One it sounds like there is potentially more info and additional people implicated.
Impossible for them to say they didn’t know this involved the Russian government.
Where was the media outrage when Rachel Maddow illegally obtained a copy of President Trump’s tax returns?

I am trying to think of a crime for this. Acceptance of a solicitation from a third party friend to freely provide negative facts on an opposing candidate to be disclosed by another individual who has no such negative facts and does not provide any in a 15 minute meeting. Seems to me the person showing up for the meeting could have been alleged “Trump cheerleader” Putin himself and we still do not have a crime unless a definitive quid pro quo of government favors can be proven.Oh, that’s right, he was not even an elected official at the time and had no government favors to barter.Wasn’t this called campaign politics in the old days? Is there or was there ever a presidential candidate campaign staff in history that would not take such a meeting including Hillary and Obama? Now all of a sudden the DNC mouthpiece NYT is trying to attach a somethinggate to it.

It's actually better than the parade of made-up stories by the media. Unhinged Adam Schiff admitted there was no law broken even today (although he left the door open). Then talked about a "pattern". The only pattern was anonymous sources claiming this or that.
Now (as Schiff admitted) we have the first story with evidence from a real source. Thus the pattern has been broken. Either there has to be another Trump Jr meeting or the media is done. More anonymous sources won't cut it.
That guy is a drama queen.
Yes, it shows she was active in Russian lobbying, and connected in various ways to the Obama admin, but I don't think she was a co-conspirator. It was set up, like you said, by Goldstone. The purpose was to put the icing on the Russian collusion cake. Only problem is the cake is stale now and the icing isn't going to help.

The question is, did his lawyer approve this release, or is this the son’s “Twitter style”? Or has staff been too busy trying to keep the President from tweeting to keep an eye on his son? In a few days we will know.
In fact that is exactly what he failed to do, but subsequently has or is filing an amendment to the application.
And fall victim to SIDS (Sudden Instant Death Syndrome)? That possibility always keeps troublemakers in line.
Putin Russians did not like Bernie the most. Bernie was for Scandinavian style democratic socialism, not the kind that Putin follows that includes murdering reporters who ask questions, possibly blowing up apartment buildings so as to justify war in Chechnia, invading and taking over the Crimea, and trying same in the Ukraine after Ukraine gave up all their atomic weapons. What Scandinavian country has doing anything even remotely like that?
The Russians were not the source of the Wiki-leak e-mails.
