Sen. John McCain faces questions in a defamation lawsuit about leaks leading to publication of the now-infamous dossier that alleged Donald Trump’s campaign had connections to Russian operatives, McClatchy has learned.
The dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele and his London firm, Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd., amounted to a collection of uncorroborated reports of collusion gathered as political research for sale to Trump’s opponents. It proved explosive when published by online news site BuzzFeed on Jan. 10.

Wonder if Halifax will come into this. McCain was at that security conference. So was Steele, IIRC. And Tim Kaine.

Very important point. McCain’s statement says he did not give the dossier to any other governmental agencies. That means he may have given it to the Clinton campaign and others. And of course he knew that the FBI director would share it with Obama and other agencies.
McCain take questions! Doubt it. They are still trying to question Holder from 2009. Not going to happen unless
Sessions starts working hard. So far nothing tangible. would love to eat crow myself but not likely.

Who flew to London to retrieve the dossier?
This “dossier” was composed with the intent of it being recognized as an obvious fraud. Even the genius Joe Biden knew it was nonsense. McCain and Comey knew it was a fraud but it was the only straw they could grasp.
