Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Alabama, is threatening to shut the government down in the U.S. Senate if his colleagues do not fund President Donald J. Trump’s planned border wall along the U.S. border with Mexico. Mo Brooks, one of three major candidates in the race to succeed now Attorney General Jeff Sessions for Sessions’ seat, made the threat in a new ad set to air statewide in Alabama on television soon.
“Hi, I’m Mo Brooks, candidate for the Senate, and I approved this message,” Brooks opens the ad, titled “Build The Wall.” The ad was provided exclusively by Brooks’ campaign to Breitbart News ahead of its public release.
The ad then cuts to President Trump’s speech in mid-2015 at Trump Tower in New York City from the day he launched his campaign for president.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said in that speech, the clip of which is used by Brooks in the ad.

Smart move. That’s how you WIN in a competitive field. You don’t ‘play it safe’, like Republican ‘advisers’ (most of them gay, by the way) keep insisting you do. You actually try to give your voters something to vote for!
Mo Brooks should be Speaker of the House, period. Paul Ryan, pack your bags! He could do more good in that position if he doesn’t get the Senate seat.
Mo is running against judge Roy Moore who would be an excellent selection
Moore is a good guy but he is up there in years
And he is seen as very extreme, been removed from his Judge seat etc. etc. Don’t think I could vote for Moore. I’d stay home instead. Been on vacation and heading out again so haven’t seen/heard all the latest on this race so right now not sure who I’ll vote for but I’m leaning Mo Brooks and not Big Luther.
Trump would get his border wall if he would just set up a GO FUND ME page. End of story and that way he gets credit and to hell with the ball-less Republicans.
Why wait until he is Senator?
Let Mo Brooks bring up a border bill in the house and have a vote on it now!
Open Borders critters (includes the Bushes) will resist the wall.
How could you NOT want to vote for a man who made such a bold statement regarding the border wall?

A “Go Fund Me” page... what a good idea. What if DJT did it, and received all the necessary funding — plus more — from the citizens? The Dems and MSM would be LITERALLY insane if that were to happen.

He was removed for his refusal to take the Ten Commandments out of his court room. I would vote for him in a New York second.
Do you remember all the talk about repealing ACA? Remember all the for show votes to repeal it? Talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words. Now that the GOP actually can repeal it, they are doing NOTHING.
I take the judge that lost his court over his refusal to remove the Ten Commandments (action) over a bold taker any day.

A go fund me page started by Trump Admin would fully fund the wall in less than a week. maybe they should start their own donor page instead of go fund me so that go fund me does bot screw it up. They really need to get a donor page going now and tell congress to go to hell. This would be a great way to out maneuver the RINOS. Al Trump has to say is I gave you RINOS a chance to get I right and you failed so at that particular topic so “your fired”. They wont like being called out like that and I bet they would get their a$* in order next issue.
And to really piss off the RINOS and lobe is make the donation tax deductible, and charitable bid to save the nation :)
I think many Fed Govt expeditures should be handled similar to this. They should have where legal citizens get to select where a set portion of their tax dollars go to and the remaining portion goes to general funding. If a monetary need like border wall got covered fully then it would not continue to get funding but people could select from the other selections available. That way things that majority of tax payers want get funding and ridiculous stuff would be less funded. It could be set up that people could contribute a small amount more if they wanted, but not the point that companies or people could contribute huge amounts.
Our “representatives” are not doing their job of representing us these days and we people need a way to have our voice heard more. This would be one way.
