Juan Brown does such an excellent job with his videos.
Here’s the scoop at the moment: 5600 acres burned 5400 structures threatened. Mass evacuations. A heroic stand was taken at Miners Ranch Road to prevent a breech. Some minor breeching of Oro-Bangor Road and Forbestown Rd at Lake Wyandotte.
4000 evacuated and 7500 under evac-warning. At least 50 buildings destroyed. Four injuries, all minor. Cautious opitmistic but winds are picking up tonight and the temperatures at 8PM will still be in the 90s...
In a nutshell that’s what I know. So far our property is safe. Nothing I can do as we are a thousand miles away at the moment.
I always forward to his updates. He is unbiased and has resources to assist in his reporting. His mighty Luscombe is actually pretty cool. He even has a GoPro with a gimbal.
If you ever want to know what is going on around the Oroville Dam, check out his utube channel.
I thoroughly enjoy each and every video Juan puts out - he presents complex matters clearly, accompanied by understandable explanations, with little if any evidence of a personal slant to his reporting.
How a private citizen can present information so reasonably and objectively stands in stark contrast to the crap spewed forth by multi-million dollar “news” organizations like CNN and the major networks.
Thankfully, Juan is sharing his talents on Youtube.
