Christie is slated to be heard on Monday and Tuesday instead of afternoon host Mike Francesa, the radio station posted on its website. The two days will be audition days, Jaime Saberito, a station spokesperson, said Friday, as Francesa is set to leave the station once his contract ends later this year.

Will he play Shrek at Disneyworld?
I assume you’re talking about Christie the Hutt?
Christie has the face and figure for radio.
I think Chris will do well on radio, if he allows his natural sense of humor to come out more often. Not good to stay in The Warzone all the time. That would be too much like Alec Baldwin’s one dimensional portrayal of the President.
Christie is a very clever man, but like other ambitious people, we sometimes bite off more than we can chew.
Wouldn’t it be ‘funny’ if MSNBC put both Christie and Megyn K. on a show together in some sort of debate format.
Both are stubborn (some may say pigheaded) lawyers with good prosecutorial skills.
If he does any live-streaming interviews, his contract should stipulate; “Under no circumstances, should Mr. Christie report for a televised show while dressed in a Baseball Uniform, irregardless of which team the uniform is for.
Willful violation of this clause is immediate grounds for termination!!”
I hope he gets it. The Fan needs a larger than life blowhard to replace Francessa. Joe Bonigno or Evan Roberts isn’t going to cut the mustard.
Why is this jerk still around ??
I agree. Cristie fits the word “glib”.
(Curtis & Kuby is my second favorite in that time slot, after Rush. When Rush is preempted by baseball during my lunchtime jog, that's where I go.)
This would also be an excellent way for Christie to resuscitate his political image after Trafficgate. He's only 54, so he'll be 58 in November 2020 and 62 in November 2024. Compared to the age of the major Democrat candidates, he's a kid.
They had Scott Ferrall on last night.
Sandpaper on the ears.
They’re not the only ones.
The famous former WCAU in Philly is now WPHT.
WTAM in Cleveland is just the latest call letters for them (formerly “3WE” i.e., WWWE, among others).
I’ve wondered about it too.
(I listen to Indians games on WTAM, and used to listen to Phillies on WPHT until they dropped them a few years ago.)
According to Wikipedia:
KYW (1060 AM), "Newsradio 10-60", is a commercial AM radio station, licensed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by the CBS Radio subsidiary of CBS Corporation and broadcasts an all-news format. Its studios are located in Center City Philadelphia and its transmitter and two-tower directional antenna array are located in Lafayette Hill. KYW is one of the oldest radio stations in the United States, and also has had one of the more complicated histories. Located in Chicago, Illinois at its start in late 1921, it moved to Philadelphia in 1934. In 1956 the KYW call letters were transferred to a station in Cleveland, Ohio, only to be returned nine years later to their original Philadelphia home.
Baffling.
BTW, I discovered this year I can get Wash. Nationals games on 1500 WFED, which apparently used to be WTOP, but I got a headache trying to follow all the changes listed in that wikipedia article!
