A first class passenger has been accused assaulting an attendant on a Delta Airlines flight from Seattle to Beijing, and reportedly had to be subdued using wine bottles to hit him on the head.
The plane turned round and returned to Seattle after the 23-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was said to have tried to open an emergency exit door 45 minuted into the journey.
After an attendant tried to stop him he reportedly threw a punch.
Another passenger told KIRO 7 News: "They broke two bottles of wine on his head. I tried to choke him and he just threw me off like a rag doll."
Passengers helped restrain the man until the plane landed, said Perry Cooper, a spokesman for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Is it possible the guy pulls on the handle and breaks the handle and its seal, thereby causing rapid decompression?
Where is the Air Marshal or did B. Hussein do away with that as well on direct orders from his Muzzie Bro commanders?
Rear door on a 727 can’t be opened while the engines are running.
It’s called a DB Copper lock
They would’ve needed a tractor to remove that wine bottle
Just checked Facebook. A Linda Hine Hudek from Tampa is a Delta customer service employee. Im guessing she is Jojos mom. That’s how he got the First class seat and on a dependent travel pass to boot, so free.
“...They broke two bottles of wine on his head....”
Damn... the Merlot sneaks up on you and hurts like HELL...
If I was in first class at the time, I would have handed the guy a butter knife and told him that he might be able to lever the door open with that. After laughing for a few minutes as he tried in vain and exhausted himself, THEN I would have deployed the wine bottles and zip ties.
Thanks.
I understand, but I was talking about rapid decompression and all the effects that would have.
I should have been more clear, since “everyone” was fixated on opening the door and my point was there are other disruptions that do not require opening a door.
The tiny wine bottles they serve on airplanes couldn’t hurt a fly.
Evidently the Zinfandel packs a punch...
“First class is just not what it used to be.”
May want to consider “upgrading” to coach.
Didn't the Trump daughter babe sit in coach?
I never heard of D B Cooper before.
I looked up his story. It’s fascinating.
I would tend to agree, though, that he died on impact.
It sounds like he didn’t know what he was doing with the parachutes.
Evidently they missed the training.
It’s smash, stab, and then slice.
Sheesh, two bottles.....
You don't want people messing with the doors, period.
