Perhaps that explains the phenomenon of Mann's Canadian attorney's "unresponsive actions:"
The negative and unresponsive actions of Dr Mann and his lawyer, Roger McConchie, are expected to infuriate the judge and be the signal for the collapse of Mann’s multi-million dollar libel suit against Dr Ball. ...Both Mann and McConchie know he's going to have to pay, and his attorney is probably underwater on the case anyway. Therefore, he's had to move on to other matters, and won't be opening his mouth on Mann's behalf any time soon.
It's just all an innocent misunderstanding. Mann didn't mean man-made global warming. He meant Mann-made global warming.

no no no no, it was the VA Atty General at the time (Ken Cuccinell) who sought to make the U. of Virginia share Mann’s publicly funded data. But the U. fought for secrecy and cover-up on behalf of Mann, and won on some legal grounds.
Both the NSF and Mann’s universities have been obnoxious and outrageous in defending his secrecy and refusals to share data & code to allow genuine replication or refutation of his results. So much for “openness in science”....
I guess it pays to be tighter there ;-)
A lot of people began wondering very loudly how this thing passed peer review without the primary data. Still haven’t heard an answer to that one either. What is so appalling is that if you attempt to defend that fundamental principle of science, you’re called “anti-science” by people with Grievance Studies degrees. Maddening.
Proving that Global Warming is a hoax to a Climate Change zealot, is similar to proving Islam is a hoax to a muslim. Will never happen. You just have to consider them fanatics and assume all their work is horribly biased trash. There are actually zealots out there that think the Great Barrier Reef is completely gone. And you cannot tell them otherwise. Even if you take them to the GBR and show them vast areas are alive and healthy. The issue is not the issue. All that matters is the cause.
One of the commenters on that website call him “Piltdown Mann”.
