Donald Trump may not be winning hearts and minds in his ongoing war with the media, with a recent poll showing more people trust CNN than the president.
Trump openly despises CNN and often refers to the network-and many others-as ‘fake news,’ but the majority of people questioned in a poll by Survey Monkey trust information from the news network over the president.
“The fight... between the White House and major media outlets has made the question of truthfulness just as partisan-tinged as health care or other policies,” SurveyMonkey's Jon Cohen told Axios.
Of those 4,695 people questioned between June 29 to July 3, 50% of all voters said they trusted CNN over Trump, while 43% said they trusted Trump over CNN, and a further 7% said they were not sure who to trust more.
But among independents, 55% said they trusted CNN more than Trump, with just 40% opting for Trump and 5% unsure who to trust.
