CNN has come under fire for suggesting it will publish the identity of a private citizen if he behaves in a way that displeases the network.

Maybe CNN can hire u as a investigator.
They are going to need a lot more, because the CNN meme video
dam is about to break loose.
No backpedaling allowed in this game. If one tries to backpedal in the tactic of oneupmanship in the Game of Crooked Journalism, one forfeits the game immediately.
Why is this case any different than any other news event where people’s names are published?
Care to wager that should his name be made public by CNN or not there won’t be a civil lawsuit and the kid and his family paid?
Stupid CNN should have offered him a job, instead they shot the Archduke and started a war.
[[CNN is well protected by the First Amendment and with that protection they can report the identities of adults involved in an event worthy of news coverage.]]
They are not allowed to threaten him and coerce him into doing what they want . He is a minor to boot so they can’t even make a deal with him without his parents.
Already been there.
Funny guys...
If it is a kid, the rules may be different.
If he is an adult, CNN has the right to publish his name.
Blackmail and extortion by CNN
Save us from investigating u.
Give us your real name. Your current address and phone number.
Maybe if he is a kid, but if he is an adult, they can reveal the name.
Publish his name if adult I agree HOWEVER not under a veiled threat. I could be wrong but that may be a case
A concise excerpt from the 4Chan page you linked: “A multibillion dollar organization is threatening a citizen of ‘Murrica for posting a meme.”
I think CNN wanted this in the news to attack President Trump.
I don’t think they knew they would arouse the likes of Anon or 4chan. CNN is old school. You don’t doxx a kid for having fun and by no means did he mean anything by it.
It is just kind of obvious that CNN has no earthly protection and therefore must take down children to stay afloat.
If CNN wishes to use legal means to determine a poster’s name, they are free to do so.
I wonder. One of his posts says F*** Maryland that place is a festering $hithole of liberal a$$holery and I'm glad I left it in 1990. 1990 is 27 years ago.
What do you think?
They are about to meme’d to death. Kid is 15.
Give us your real name, current address and phone number.
Come on. You seem to be a confident and tough guy or gal.
What happened to free speech, CNN?
