New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has come under fire online after photos emerged of him and his family enjoying an Independence Day Weekend on a state-run beach that he had closed off to the public.
Christie shut down the beach at Island Beach State Park - along with all state-run beaches and parks - after a budget standoff. But on Sunday he was spotted enjoying the holiday weekend sun.
He attempted to brush off the criticism, saying that he was just using the beach next to the governor's mansion, and that he didn't get any sun - even though pictures show him in a T-shirt and shorts on a beach chair.
As Christie came under fire, furious tweeters took to social media to lampoon him in a string of hilarious memes - catapulting him to Twitter's top trends list.

Totally stupid of him. Just like when 0bama closed down WW2 memorials in DC to veterans he let some groups stage some events there.
Actually, if he missed a chance to jab back he is foolish. It was the Rats who made it possible for him to have the place to himself and that should have been his point.

I remember how admired he was when he ran and won in Leftist New Jersey. What that took to win there and say the conservative things he was saying made for a shocking victory.
His misfortune on the scandal of his underlings and BridgeGate ruined his future. We still have not seen proof he was knowledgeable of what they did on impulse, right?
Nevertheless, he seems to be toast.

Heard him on local news and the beach house is owned by the state and is for the governor of the state. He announced his vacation before the shut down by the DEMOCRAT LEGISLATORS. He said he would sign any, ANY, budget they sent to him. Being a Trump supporter, has anyone considered this to be fake news by the stinking anti-republican news???
If Christie was a real mensch- which he is not, he would have a temporary budget rammed through to cover beaches and parks. Of course, we all know he is no mensch, just a Cafone.
