DONALD Trump has waded into the fight to save Charlie Gard and offered to help the stricken baby.
A British court has ruled that little Charlie – suffering with mitochondrial depletion syndrome – should have his life support machine switched off.
But the billionaire US President has joined the battle to help the ten-month-old undergo an experimental treatment in America.
He wrote: “If we can help little #CharlieGard, as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so.”
Trump’s words come just one day after Pope Francis added his voice to calls for Charlie to be given one final shot at life.
The pontiff said Charlie’s parents should be allowed to “accompany and treat their child until the end”.

Yeah, and if experimental medical treatments had been banned throughout history there would have been very few advances in medical science. There are no words sufficient to condemn these so call judges sufficiently. They're little more than self-important, puffed up bureaucrats jealously guarding their area of authority.
Now the left is REALLY going to hate him.

There was a bit of controversy on FR in a post last evening with Pro-Life people saying the Pope should intervene to allow the parents to get the child treatment.
Pope Francis talked about the parents being able to stay with the child until he dies and the posters felt it was a poor response.
I also saw it as pretty lame.
I hope this isn’t too little or too late.
But I also strongly believe Donald Trump has the ability to take command of any situation by his presence and his voice.

I read that the pope agreed with the courts, changing his mind to support the life of the child ONLY after a barrage of criticism.
Francis made two statements. Yesterday’s was a little better. I think some pro-life group (K of C?) might have threatened to pull the plug on the money stream unless he sounded a little more Catholic on this issue.
