Trump saved America merely by getting elected. Anything more he accomplishes is gravy. And he’s already made a lot of that.

AMEN!!!

That would be good but keep in mind one thing. Sometimes the appointments disappoint. O’Conner and Roberts being the two prime examples. Sometimes they don’t do what we would like. Roberts was the biggest disappointment of my lifetime so far.

Ginsburg is a leftist loon. However, I also find Breyer to be the biggest threat to America. He wants U.S. law to be judged by international law. He wants to incorporate European decisions into ours. He is very dangerous.

Roberts was only appointed because he is a friend of Jeb. Nobody ever claimed that he is conservative.

It’s not that difficult to pick a conservative judge. Gorsuch and Alito had a 10 year track record of conservative decisions in appellate courts. They are 100% predictable.

Roberts was presented as a conservative. That’s why there was a great deal of fear on the left about Bush and his appointments. Republicans generally had high hopes for Roberts in that he would vote to kill Obamacare. There was extensive teeth gnashing here on this site (I read it) and in the conservative world that he let it stand. You can’t tell me that Roberts was a known liberal because I remember it well. In any case, the general public doesn’t look into their past rulings as deeply as we should.

If they are 100% predictable, why did Reagan pick O’Conner when he was known to be dead set against abortion??? She is well known to have disappointed him with that ruling.

Ginsberg is not going anywhere until she is a shovel ready project shall we say.

“What’s left to ‘accomplish?”

He wants to vote on Trump’s exclusion orders - to support open borders.

That might not be as assured as you may think. Seeing that they may very well be on 7-2, or at the absolute best of 6-3 decisions for the rest of their tenure, why stay with a unwinnable forecast each and every time. No matter how dedicated to any effort or cause, knowing it is lost before the arguments are even heard weighs on anyone’s psyche.

What might be even more of a surprise is Roberts finally giving up the reasons he was blackmailed into rewriting Obamacare. There will be tremendous pressure from not only outside sources to get at the truth, but living with that lie will also weight on him.

Every thread I read, where a reminder is needed of the bullet we dodged, I post this grisly photo:

It's breathtaking--on many levels.

“I think Ginsberg and Breyer will both leave during Trumps term”

They will be carried out, the SCOTUS is completely politicized at this point. The radical left will push those two to hang on until they are dead or take back the Senate.

Whenever the next vacancy occurs, I hope President Trump finds a good, solid conservative judge with a Russian sounding name to fill the seat.

Ginsburg won’t go even if she is dead unless we can prove she has rotted away in her seat.

Sadly, we’re pretty much stuck with Kagan and Sotomayor for a while.
****************
Not if congress ever gets enough balls to remove them. Impeach and remove ... they have both failed to recuse themselves when warranted.

Ginsberg will never leave with Trump in. She would not want him appointing her replacement.

I’m hoping God weighs in, and gives Ginsburg no choice in the matter.

If President Trump does a full 8 yrs, followed by Pence for 8 yrs we can eliminate most of the libs, and replace aging Conservatives with younger ones. Roberts is the youngest. And we were sold a bill of goods on him being a conservative.

“I think Ginsberg and Breyer will both leave during Trumps term. President Trump could well have 4 SCOTUS appointments”

That’s what I pray for, and I really don’t care what the circumstances are surrounding any of the “departures” from the Court1
