And I’m STILL happy & free of depression/anxiety. Have a great 4th FRiend!

Pot was the reward for selling your country to socialism.

“but pot isn’t “medicine”.”

Repeating a fallacy doesn’t change anything. It’s still a fallacy.

Millions of people all over the nation know cannabis is medicinal, JohnBrowdie. It’s why our conservative governor, Rick Scott, signed into Florida law the medical marijuana bill over a week ago: so folks can have access to the medicine they need.

Take care :)

Millions of President Trump voters as well. Freedom loving conservatives as also voted for medical cannabis last election tion, myself included. 71% of Florida voters wanted medical marijuana in the last election and governor Scott, a conservative & a Trump supporter signed the bill into law a week ago. Facts are always better than fallacies. 😊

This conversation was had many moons ago and if I remember correctly to pot is still illegal in this country. It’s settled science. What don’t you understand about “This is a NATION of laws?

“This conversation was had many moons ago and if I remember correctly to pot is still illegal in this country.”

Cannabis is illegal federally due to nanny state over reach in violation of the 10th amendment. 29 states have chosen to legalize & regulate cannabis for the medicinal usage.

“It’s settled science. “

Not so much, no. The Shafer Commission Nixon created to offer advise on how to deal with cannabis decided cannabis should be decriminalized. t concluded that cannabis did not cause widespread danger to society. It recommended using social measures other than criminalisation to discourage use. It compared the situation of cannabis to that of alcohol.

Nixon as we know, rejected the commission’s recommendations & the federal law was written to effectively criminalize the study of cannabis. So no, not settled science though some nations like Israel are studying cannabis & have a very robust medical cannabis program themselves.

“What don’t you understand about “This is a NATION of laws?”

State laws are being followed & in 29+ states voters have legally determined they want folks to have access to medical cannabis. In some states voters have decided they want access to recreational cannabis in accordance with their state’s laws.

The Constitution grants to the states the power to do exactly what they have done regarding cannabis.

“Stickman: save your claptrap for your faggot friends. If you can’t be intellectually honest, there’s no need to discuss.”

1st off, I forgive you for the disparagement.

If history disturbs you, then you probably should see a doctor and avoid forums where history is discussed.

Facts are not “claptrap”. You can’t badmouth them out of existence.

If you can’t be intellectually honest, Mashood you might want to avoid internet forums where people deal in facts. Like this one:

http://www.miamiherald.com/news/health-care/article157958724.html

“Gov. Rick Scott on Friday signed into law a broader medical marijuana system for the state, following through on a promise he made earlier this month.
Lawmakers passed the measure (SB 8A) in a special session after failing in their regular session that ended in May to implement a constitutional amendment legalizing the drug, which was supported by 71 percent of voters last year.

“The constitutional amendment was passed overwhelmingly, and I’m glad the House and Senate were able to come together for a bill that makes sense for our state,” Scott said earlier this month.”

Thems the facts, Mashood. You can’t BS them away :)

Interesting delusion. You might wanna have a doctor take a look at it, central.

Hope you have a great 4th, central.

not a fake when-it-suits-me conservative like some on FR who want to use big government to impose their personal dislike of pot on others.

everybody-—and I mean everybody-—is perfectly happy and joyful to use big gov’t, and thus give the middle finger to state’s rights, to further personal likes and dislikes...a poster upthread proving the point perfectly with characteristic over the top rhetoric...

“I decided to give cannabis a try.

in what form, and how did you get it...?”

If you live in a state where there is a medical marijuana program & recommend you find a doctor in your area that is licensed to recommend medical marijuana. Your Dr will work with you to determine the right dosage for you & your specific aliment(s).

If you’ve not used cannabis in any form for 5 years or more, I seriously recommend you start with very small doses in the beginning to determine if you get any symptom relief and slowly increase it till you hit your therapeutic sweet spot. It’s different for everyone so it pays to start slowly. I would recommend edibles or vaping over smoking in the beginning in very small quantities.

Myself, I ate half of a quarter-sized cannabis cookie for 4 months or so before I graduated to a full cookie & reached the therapeutic sweet spot I was ultimately looking for. PLEASE keep in mind that everyone responds differently to cannabis & be aware that like all medicines, there’s a chance it might not work for you.

If you live in a legal state, get your medical marijuana card & you can legally purchase your medicine in a dispensary. If you don’t live in a legal state, then you’ll have to buy it off the street & risk being arrested.

Good luck to you & I hope you find the relief you need asap!

Pothead and proud of it.

I seek the decriminilization of the substance, as it makes no more sense to jail people for this than it did for drinking beer; however, I also urge that it be restricted, along the lines of alcohol, to minimize the distribution to children...I’d like to see, to the extent possible, the black market destroyed by a state government regulated one, where quality can at least be monitored (a situation that doesn’t exist for ‘herbal remedies’, that do nothing but scam people for great amounts of dough)...also, I had wished that only time released capsules would be available, which used lower potency cannabis, but that’s obviously a ‘pipe dream’...

‘I would recommend edibles or vaping over smoking in the beginning in very small quantities.’

there is no way on this green earth that I will smoke, or even vape, a cannabis product...I think eating it is no doubt effective, but doesn’t it taste terrible? Why waste a perfectly good brownie...I said earlier, I’d prefer cannabis distribution to be by time released capsule, delivering as little euphoric effect possible, by which, if there are medicinal properties (such as anxiety relief, those can be promoted)...if it helps insomnia, count me in...
