NEW ORLEANS
All suspects have been arrested in connection to the robbery and beating of two tourists from Boston in the French Quarter.
Nicholas Polgowski and Rashaad Piper were booked Wednesday morning into the Orleans Parish jail. This comes as the two other suspects, Dejuan Paul and Joshua Simmons, are currently being held without bail.
The four men are being charged with second degree robbery in connection to the beating of two Boston tourists Saturday night on Bienville Street. One of the victims is still listed in critical condition.
Police said the attack was reported before 9 p.m. in the 200 block of Bienville Street, as two men were walking back to their hotel.
Officials said Monday that the two victims are from the Boston area and were in New Orleans for the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
UUA officials identified the victims as James Curran and Tim Byrne, both of whom are staffers and based at the Farnsworth Street headquarters in Boston.
Curran was treated and released, but Byrne remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Four men walked up behind the two men and attacked them, police said. Investigators said the victims were knocked down to the ground and robbed of their belongings. Officials said the attackers left shortly afterward.
Few details have been released, but New Orleans police released video of the attack Sunday in an effort to identify and arrest the assailants.

choot em
If NO doesn’t throw the book hard on them, tourists aren’t going to view NO as a destination like they used to.
ATTEMPTED MURDER should be one of the charges.
Day don’t look very French to me.
Nicholas Polgowski?
Nicholas Polgowski’s pic looks like he’s from the deepest part of Polish Congo.
One is clearly Polish.
I wonder if the guy who turned himself in snitched. Gonna be tough for him if he did.
My favorite brand of .22 LR.
That’s the only brand my Sig will shoot without fail.
Yes they are on thin ice so to speak, with their ongoing crime problems in N.O.
Tourism and convention business brings in some big dollars to New Orleans. Let word get around that the feral gang types are allowed free reign even in touristy areas of a city, and watch tourism drop like a rock.
Baltimore’s inner harbor tourist area has seen a drop in business since their rioting there.
This is a paradox for the liberals who run so many big cities. ON the one hand, they want to welcome visitors and appreciate the positive economic impact they bring. On the other hand, they are afraid to be too rough on the gangs and ferals, because as liberals, they are afraid of being perceived as racist or lacking compassion for those less fortunate, if they were to crack down on the gang types.
So what is the liberal Democrat mayor of New Orleans to do? Crack down on the criminal element and be called racist? Or let the ferals have run of his streets and have his economy take a hit as people stay away due to fear????
The problem is blacks(Amish).
.....Nicholas Polgowski...
I’d say he’s a long way from Poland.....
