India is a big important country. That's very appropriate.

Putting the screws to our Enemies and reassuring our Allies.

What a concept!

So. Much. Winning. I love this guy! :)

I see AP is trying to stir up something with the weird headline.

I don’t see why this is a “rare gesture”.

She doesn’t normally show up when the president of Lingua Franca or Zuzuland visits the White House.

India is a great country to partner with. Majority speak English “goodly”, intelligent people and for the most part they like the U.S. (at least don’t hate us) and most importantly...they are not trying to kill us.

What did not show in the photo was the color of Melania’s dress. It was the marigold/saffron that you see so much in India. She is very thoughtful in what she wares to greet foreign leaders

True. I have some Indian friends and they are all very kind, but none of them are Muslim.

She shows up for the leaders of important countries, not every Tom, Dick and Harry.

The headline IS weird, and your response seems dismissive of the First Lady.

Yes she is - in the article, they both look quite happy to greet him.
Very nice.

Dismissive because she doesn’t greet the president of Lagos or the Prime Minister of Macedonia? She has other fish to fry. She’s a mother, runs the White House in conjunction with the head usher and chef, has social obligations, etc....

It didn’t look like MICHELLE OBAMA was part of the welcoming party for PM Modi at the White House last year. Maybe that was what the article was about.
