It is astonishing that these folks don't even begin to begin what is wrong.

"we congenitally believe that our motives are pure and our goals are right," Rahm Emanuel told me. Perhaps the Godless Democrat's need to cognate the concept that the ends do not justify the means. Slander, lies and violence piss off honest people.

What a nutty column. Basically, she says Trump’s a psycho narcissist and a liar who is going to implode, and the Republicans are a bunch of screw-ups, and everyone knows it and everyone loves Democrats, the majority of voters, but the reason they keep losing is because they are making tactical mistakes, like running people who can’t vote in the district they’re going to represent, and spending megabucks from Hollywood swells in districts that don’t feel the same way about Hollywood that Maureen used to feel about Hollywood.

I suppose the bubonic plague also started with a high opinion of itself.

Who put a candidate that was wildly unpopular, a felon, possible serial murderer, pathological liar, embezzler, fraud and traitor up as their choice for President who’s plan is to “stay the course of destruction “
Versus
Another party that put forth an honest, self-made multi-Billionaire; without any scandals to his name; and a plan to Make America Great Again.
And they are SHOCKED that they lost

My favorite line is the first
YOU know who is really sick and tired of Donald Trump winning, to the point where they beg, Please, Mr. President, sir, its too much? Democrats.
I’m certainly not tired of winning, always Pro Trump!

The Repubulicans have a wildly unpopular, unstable and untruthful president... And around the New York Times newsroom, I have no doubt that this inflammatory opinion is considered a simple fact. But since it is actually a false premise, Ms. Dowd's inability to understand the Democrats' losing streak is quite understandable.

Maureen talks on and on about how the Democrats have to change. But there are at least two non-negotiables: Trump is insane and evil; abortion must be legal and subsidized until thirty minutes after birth, at least.

Nineteen years ago, Maureen was writing about Bill Clinton’s sodomy with the cigar, his serial perjury, Hillary’s shrewish defenses of Bill, and all the lawyers’ preposterous claims.
Result: Maureen LOOKED as though she had a couple of morals, and some rationality.
But it was just the subject matter that did it.

A strong connection to Hillary being a congenital liar.
