Today, law enforcement officials shared findings to date of the investigation into the shooting that occurred at the Eugene Simpson Stadium Park on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

Slater, special agent in charge, FBI Washington Field Office Criminal Division; Michael L. Brown, Chief, Alexandria Police Department; Matthew R. Verderosa, chief, United States Capitol Police; and Michael B. Boxler, special agent in charge, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Washington Field Division.

The statement said Hodgkinson acted alone in the shooting and that the investigation is ongoing.

Some interesting information from the report:

"Contents of the storage facility yielded a laptop computer, more than 200 rounds of ammunition, a receipt for a November 2016 gun purchase and additional SKS rifle components."

So in addition to the ammunition Hodgkinson had on his person during the shooting, he had over 200 more rounds.

"a family member of Hodgkinson reported to have received a message from him on June 12 seeking to return home to Illinois."

On June 12, two days before the shooting, Hodgkinson said that he was going to drive back to Belleville Illinois on June 14, the day of the shooting. Hodgkinson's plan was to shoot the Republicans early in the morning and then leave town.

"Hodgkinson took photographs at various sites on the National Mall and at various monuments, including the east front plaza of the U.S. Capitol, inside the visitor’s entrance of the Dirksen Senate Office Building, the front entrance of the Library of Congress, the west side of the Supreme Court, the front entrance of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Washington Monument. On April 15, Hodgkinson took multiple photographs of Eugene Simpson Stadium Park."

Hodgkinson took surveillance photos and video of various locations that Congressmen would be expected to be seen and potentially targeted.

He took numerous surveillance photos of the site of the shooting two months before the shooting occurred.

Hodgkinson was a brainwashed Democrat Party activist and operative for many years. He belonged to many Democrat and leftist activist groups, many of which advocated violence against Republicans.

After extensive target practice near his home in Illinois Hodgkinson travelled to the DC area with his guns and huge amounts of ammunition for no logical reason or purpose other than killing the Republicans he repeatedly said he hates and needs to eliminate.

The attack took place at a unique place and time when many influential Republicans would be together in a place with minimal security.

Hodgkinson had neither the intelligence nor the inside information to plan this on his own.

This was an organized mass assassination attempt.

And it almost worked.

My question is who was bankrolling Hodgekinson during the two or so months he stayed in the DC area.

....Contents of the storage facility yielded a... receipt for a November 2016 gun purchase ...

I thought a background check that Democrats clamor for and the Lautenberg Law were supposed to prevent this...

I may have to agree. Is there evidence that he took the photos? Also the baseball game is a part of beltway traditions but I doubt one in a 1000 regular folks would know about it. I am pretty caught up on stuff and I never paid attention, never really was aware of it. Also the fact it was in Va is interesting because owning a weapon like the SKS is far less likely to cause a stir than in the District. So it makes the Means easier. The weapon is interesting. Because it has an integral 10 round mag the SKS sets off no alarms. This indicates he, or someone, gave considerable thought to the type of weapon. And since reloads are done IIRC by strip loading, as in the ‘03, it takes considerable practice to do so while in a combat situation and being under fire, and it seems he did 9 or 10 reloads. Who trained him?

Occupy type rent-a-mobs?

The paid protesters are even given a splace to stay and shower.

I disagree with both of you. And here is why...

He had access to the internet, through which he could get almost any information he needed. He was staying at the YMCA which is across the street from the ballfield. As far as the photos and who took them, the presumption is that he took them with his cellphone. I could be wrong, but there is no mention of him having any other kind of independent camera.

Agreed. And it was only a thin blue line that stopped him.

There is a radical underground in the Dem party, and all he needed was one handler. That’s who they should be looking for, Hodgkinson’s handler from:

a liberal fascist organization bent on assassinating their political opponents.

They are out there. And many of them will be identified as Muslims cultivated by Obama.Their intel net is through the mosques IMHO. Illinois and Wisconsin mosques.

Dem liberal fascist black ops also killed Seth rich. Count on it. Chicago is where they are centered.

Almost...because he couldn't hit the side of a barn.

“Extensive target practice” means lots of rounds fired for functionality and accuracy testing (reliability ,POI etc.) yet he had a hard time hitting targets (first few shots) at rock throwing distance. something dosen’t add up.

Who called for assassinations or elimination in November after Hillary lost?

I have been curious about the weapon involved. Now it’s identified as a SKS rifle, “modified to accept a detachable magazine and the original stock was replaced with a folding stock.”

“He was staying at the YMCA which is across the street from the ballfield.”

Hodgkinson was not “staying at the YMCA.” He visited the YMCA on several occasions. He did not work out. He simply sat in the lobby observing.

Don’t you think it is evidence of intent that Hodgkinson traveled from his home in Illinois to Alexandria with his guns and huge amounts of ammunition? Don’t you wonder why he stayed for almost 3 months for logical purpose or reason? Don’t you find anything suspicious that he knew where the Republicans were going to hold baseball practice with minimal security and he surveilled the area for at least two months?

“As far as the photos and who took them, the presumption is that he took them with his cellphone. I could be wrong, but there is no mention of him having any other kind of independent camera.”

From the FBI report:

“The FBI found a laptop computer, a cell phone, and a digital camera in Hodgkinson’s vehicle.”

...it was only a thin blue line that stopped him.

And in hypocritical MSM fashion (I know, that is redundant), not one leftie has pointed out that they had an angry white man shoot two black police officers, one of whom allegedly prefers the alternative lifestyle. Ideological pretzel of their own creation.

Bought that one gun right after the election would be my bet. Either way, he plotted this for quite some time. Screws loose and a short fuse...and a liberal bully.

The guy thought he was marksman enough to pull something like this off? This guy got a bad hip shot on the senator on second base as the worst wound of the day!?

I hope he felt fear in the pit of his stomach and threw up in his mouth about 30 seconds before the good guys ventilated him.

The only possible reason for Hodgkinson to do so much practice shooting right before he left his wife and home to travel to the DC area would be to prepare for shooting someone or groups of people.

He shot 4 people. The rest of his potential targets took cover. Everyone at the scene said had it not been for the amazing action of the police they would have been easily picked off one by one by the shooter.

Good point, I agree with you.

Reading your response to me made reconsider that his “extensive” practice may have only included slow firing at a static target at a fixed, known distance.

Like my first football coach drilled into us every day,”Don’t just practice, practice correctly. If you practice poorly, you will perform poorly as well.”

This is what no one will ask.
He was getting funding from the DNC or DNC front group.
This should be question #1

Hodgkinson was not “staying at the YMCA.”

He was living out of his van, which was parked by the YMCA. As you say, he sat in the lobby observing. He was spending his DAYS observing from the lobby of the YMCA. He likely used the Y's toilet and shower facilities as well. The only thing he wasn't doing was sleeping in the Y at night. If you had a friend who slept in his van, in your driveway, but spent the day in your house, wouldn't you tell others he was 'staying' at your house ?

Don’t you think it is evidence of intent that Hodgkinson traveled from his home in Illinois to Alexandria with his guns and huge amounts of ammunition?

Of course. Although he may have purchased some of the guns/ammo AFTER he got there.

Don’t you wonder why he stayed for almost 3 months for logical purpose or reason?

Assuming you mean "NO LOGICAL PURPOSE OR REASON, yes, I do wonder why he spent 3 months, away from home, abandoned his business, etc.

Don’t you find anything suspicious that he knew where the Republicans were going to hold baseball practice with minimal security and he surveilled the area for at least two months?

Let me ask you this- Is this the first practice the Republicans held at this field ? If not, why did he wait until that day, the day he called his wife and said he was coming home ?

“The FBI found a laptop computer, a cell phone, and a digital camera in Hodgkinson’s vehicle.”

I stand corrected. Still, it was (assumption) his camera and was in his vehicle (fact). Who else would have used it to take pictures ?
