A group of Baltimore businesses that sustained damage during the 2015 riots following the death of Freddie Gray is suing the city, alleging officials failed to suppress the riots. The nearly 700-page complaint was filed in Baltimore City Circuit Court in March but only recently removed to U.S. District Court at the request of the defendants.

An untold amount of money must been lost by those business because of those riots.
The problem with suing the city is that, assuming they win $$$, it would be the taxpayers who ultimately have to pay.
There should be some way they could sue the individuals, but probably the city has laws giving protection to elected officials and employees.
Hm. May be a suit with merit.
Doubt these suits will fair any better than those against NYC and the NYPD after the Crown Heights riots.

They should move to a normal, pro business area, such as Texas.
