Columbus City Schools is "working toward the termination" of Chris Dodds, a garage assistant supervisor who posted an anti-LGBTQ message on social media ahead of the Columbus Pride Parade on Saturday.
I hope this event turns out like the Boston Marathon a few years back. All f-g's should be killed or at least relocated," Dodds wrote in a message posted to the Columbus Pride Parade's Facebook page.
In an email sent to NBC Out, a spokesperson for Columbus City Schools, Jacqueline Bryant, confirmed the district is "working toward the termination of Mr. Dodds for these highly inappropriate comments."

No more free speech!!
Even garage assistants should be smart enough to avoid Facebook.
What does “free speech” have to do with it? He openly called for terrorism / mass murder and his employer decided they don’t want someone who would say that working for them.
Fascism. This is state, not private killing of free speech.
“I hope this event turns out like the Boston Marathon a few years back. All f-g’s should be killed or at least relocated,” Dodds wrote in a message posted to the Columbus Pride Parade’s Facebook page.”
Announcing that you are hoping for a Terrorist Bombing will almost always draw the attention of your Human Resources Department.
Hard to have much sympathy for the guy, calling on people to be killed...we do have to draw the line somewhere.
I only wish we applied the same standard to Imams.
Agreed. Advocating widespread violence crosses the line from free speech.
“Hard to have much sympathy for the guy, calling on people to be killed”
Your enemies have no problem calling on you and your family to be killed.
Advocating a Terrorist Bombing may not be free speech in the eyes of his employer.
And Homeland Security should investigate him.
That why I said it needs to be applied across the board, even if it hurts the feelings of ISIS supporters.
“working toward the termination of Mr. Dodds for these highly inappropriate comments.”
What could be less appropriate than allowing a pervert within a thousand miles of a child?
Imams. Are special protected groups...less we hurt their feelings
No it doesn’t cross the free speech line. It’s free speech but very irresponsible, and you can’t be guaranteed an employer won’t fire your butt if they hear about it.
You’re kidding right? I can’t imagine any school district standing for an employee making such a thinly veiled threat against any group on a public social media.
“That why I said it needs to be applied across the board, even if it hurts the feelings of ISIS supporters.”
Problem is, we are in a shooting war. It is too late to tell the muzzies to tone down their rhetoric, and counterproductive to persecute our own side.
“Imams. Are special protected groups...less we hurt their feelings.”
If an Imam announced that hoped for the Fourth of July Parade to be bombed, what would you want to happen to him?
Exactly. This dude sounds unhinged, and that’s fine and his words are perfectly protected under the 1st amendment. However, people have a right to be fired if they post comments about wishing for a bombing of a parade. I just wish this was equally applied. How many actual TEACHERS have called for violence against POTUS and still have their jobs?
That’s not anti gay.
It is a call for violence....
There is a very thin line between “ I Hope” and “I Will.”
“I Will.......” is not protected.
“I Hope.....” may be protected, but will likely have federal agents kicking in your front door and turning your life upside down.
