Former Fox News ratings powerhouse Bill OReilly revealed Saturday that he is set to launch a video streaming program on his website in the coming months and hinted he could be part of a new network that could compete with his former employer.
During the first stop of his The Spin Stops Here tour in Westbury, New York, the 67-year-old former cable news ratings king told the audience about his plans for the future, including for his BillOReilly.com website, where he has been hosting podcasts since his ouster from Fox earlier this year.
OReilly told the audience that he would begin his own operation, according to Newsday. He added that he is working on a half-hour video newscast inside a studio, and that it will resemble his long-running hit show The OReilly Factor.
Its basically an experiment to see how many people are going to want this service. Thats coming and will be here before September in a robust form, he added. But I suspect there will be another network maybe merging with us. There will be a network that rises up because the numbers for Fox are going down.
A bunch of people are looking to compete with Fox because theres a perception of decline, he reportedly added.
During the show, OReilly also addressed his exit from Fox News in April, which came after the New York Times reported that $13 million in payments had been made to settle multiple allegations of sexual harassment by the anchor. OReilly has vehemently denied the allegations.

As long as there are other personalities other then BOR on it, I MIGHT be interested.
Good luck Bill. He’s already double-rich. This new venture is about much more than just money.
Maybe he’ll hire Bill Shine and a few other experienced pros.
Put the band back together, even though the celebrity-genius manager
(Ailes) is no longer with us.
There is a need for an honest Conservative network, however that leaves out Bill O’Reilly.
That’s true, but he might be able to put one together.
I expected BOR and Roger Ailes to do this but obviously things happened. This is the biggest news year of his life, and BOR is personal friends with POTUS, so it is impossible that he would not do something bigger than just his little podcasts.
I have watched BOR for a long time, not because of BOR who irritates me as much as the next guy - but because he was able to bring on the primary sources aka “the biggest gets” to his show, where I could get the unvarnished and unsantitized truth directly from them. No interest in BORs bloviation or his so-called experts, most of whom are idiots. We have brains, we should use them selectively.
I am no more interested in “a conservative network” than I am in a(nother) liberal network. I want a news media that presents the FACTS, I will take care of the analysis and interpretation myself.
>>Thats true, but he might be able to put one together.<<
Maybe, but I doubt it. I watched O’Reilly’s show on Fox only because the alternatives were worse, including the ones that have replaced him, but I did so while barely being able to stomach his perpetual pompous, know-it-all, attitude.
That said, at least when he cut someone off they stopped talking. Now we get Tucker, and whomever his target of the evening is, bickering and talking over each other until I’m forced to switch to something pre-recorded to watch instead.
The only plus I see in this is that O’Really would eclipse Ben Gleck, and perhaps put the POS Hussein Head out of business.
If BOR is the head of this company you can put it down that it will not be friendly to the right . . . especially those of the calibre of FreeRepublic.
Chances of success are low.
He should stick to writing books and enjoying retirement. Otherwise, I’d say it’s all about ego.
There was a time when he was good, on his game, and effectively benefitted Fox and conservatism. Then, it became ALL ABOUT HIM. Well, that came back to bite him...
I think BOR could launch a comedy news network and kick serious butt with it.
The Leslie Nielsen path. Work your whole career as a “serious” actor and then flip into the “Airplane” series. He probably made 50x the money he made being the detective in every 1960’s detective series when he went comedy. Maybe 500x.
BOR would not make that kind of money because he already made top money. But he could probably have a load of fun.
Interesting. I kinda hope he teams with OANN which is an actual NEWS network without the personality cults. On the other hand, it could ruin OANN,too.
Is it going to be ‘centrist’ like the O’Reilly factor? I think he overrates himself. But good luck.
The issue is not merely O’Reilly, but instead the prospects for major success on streaming media.
Circa is designed for mobile media, and is owned by Sinclair.
bump
I would love to see a conservative network. I don’t want fair and balanced, I want 100% conservative-libertarian.
But will he DO IT LIVE!!
Then OAN is for you. One America News is on 116 and 616 Verizon FIOS and Frontier Communications.
