MONTPELIER, Vt. Scores of dairy farm workers and activists marched Saturday on a Ben & Jerrys factory to push for better pay and living conditions on farms that provide milk for the ice cream maker that takes pride in its social activism.
Protesters said Ben & Jerrys agreed two years ago to participate in the so-called Milk with Dignity program, but the company and worker representatives have yet to reach an agreement.
We cant wait any more. We are going to pressure them and see what happens, said Victor Diaz, a Mexican immigrant now working on a farm in Vergennes.
Ben & Jerrys spokesman Sean Greenwood said before Saturdays march from the Statehouse to the Waterbury factory that the company was eager to reach an agreement and negotiations were underway.

Two words Almond
Milk!
I do know that since they came out for blm, they could give it away, and I would never again touch it (which is a shame, as I happen to like the chocolate brownie stuff).
One suspects that many, many who support Law Enforcement and crime punishment have the same sympathies.
One word: robots
Exactly
Tough keeping the milking machines on those almonds, though. They can kick pretty hard, can’t they?
Remember, Jesse Jackson used to spit in White People’s Food when he worked at a Restaurant.
Just sayin’...
At least one farm in our county has robot milkers. They are great. If milking cows can be automated, almost every job now done by immigrants can be accomplished. “Cause of American ingenuity. Then what will the immigrants do?
Never interfere when you’re seeing red-on-red action. It’s rude. In fact, you should encourage red-on-red whenever possible.
I knew they sold it, but I wonder if they still retain some controlling interest. They were tweeting some nonsense about “marriage equality” in Australia recently.
Cherry Garcia is also very good, but I stopped buying their stuff long ago.
Milk with Dignity program,
= = =
Yes, with Dignity.
That’s what I told her, dignity.
Could be free and I still wouldn’t eat it
I have boycotted Ben & Jerry’s products for 20+ years.
LOL! A swift kick in the nuts and the milk comes pouring out!
Unless it's someone else's money, then they are real generous!
I’d rather eat a melted Dairy Queen cone than ever spend a dime on Ben and Jerry’s.
