Three men carrying false identification were denied access to the federal courthouse in downtown Miami Thursday. They attempted to enter at multiple vehicle check-points until security guards recognized one of the men and immediately contacted deputies from the U.S. Marshals Service.
The men used badges that resembled those from three different federal agencies, including a U.S. Marshal badge, but within seconds of examining the badges, security guards knew they were fraudulent.
Once the men were detained, officers searched their vehicle and discovered other fraudulent law enforcement clothing.
One man was arrested and could face charges by the U.S. Attorneys Office, according to the U.S. Marshal.

I spoke with an attorney once in the ‘90s who practiced at that courthouse. This was back in the days when cocaine czars were being tried there. He told me about things that were done to intimidate the attorneys, clerks, and the judges which were almost unbelievable; things similar to that scene in the Godfather with the severed horse’s head.
I don’t doubt it. I keep wondering about those 3 attorneys in the area, one a federal guy, who were found dead in the last month.
I saw a bumper sticker reading: Come back to Miami. We werent shooting at you!
Love it.
A friend lived in Little Havana in a very nice area with amazing gardens. I enjoyed going to visit, then stopping at a Cuban market on Calle Ocho for fabulous tropical fruit at xlnt prices.
SNERT!
my guess: They hoped to get into the court house and take custody of thier friend who likely had a trial today and walk him out with out being noticed.
A rather bold move, for what purpose?
Yes, that is a very important question.
I’m sure it was not something we would approve of.
Ask yourself “who uses a long knife as a weapon in this age?”
It may well be a Jihadi attempt. If so not smart one.
(Knives are not antique weapons, remember the Gurkhas Kukri)
I suspect the guy impersonating a federal officer was arrested. It did not say the other 2 were not arrested on local charges.
One of them was already known to police. I don’t know what that means, it would depend on what triggered the record.
Thanks for the link. I’d say it is a logical connection. Guess we will see eventually, or possibly it will not surface at all.
“trying to pull a stunt”
Thanks, logical. But a lot of risk and possible punishment for a publicity stunt.
With the way things are now, anything is possible.
The anti-Trump forces are an extremely diverse element. It is hard to determine who is exactly running it. A lot of criminals are affected by Trump’s actions to right the nation.
I find myself scratching my head daily to figure out what exactly is happening behind the scenes.
“”identifying as Federal Agents?”
Headshake, yes, it is a terrible statement about where we are with twisted reality.
Thanks.
Why were they not all arrested?
Did it say the other 2 were released?
Another option?
2 were undercover agents, the 3rd who was arrested was the perp they caught.
From the article.
“One man was arrested and could face charges by the U.S. Attorneys Office, according to the U.S. Marshal. It is not clear what happened to the two other two.”
It is said it is unclear.
Which means they are not talking about it.
That left the options open.
Now wait just a minute. They were merely “identifying” as Marshals.
This is perfectly legal now in this day and age.
Probably used prop badges. The ones on “The X-Files” said “US Department of Investigation,” “Federal Bureau of Justice.”
I somehow doubt it. The real officers said he was known to the police. They recognized him.
So, He will probably serve time.
