I share the same LGBT demographic with the protesters that stood and held up Fight Transphobia signs, but they do not speak for meespecially as they infringe upon free speech and expression. Being part of a protected class does not give us the privilege or right to shut down speech just because we do not like what we hear. As a demographic whose cause is founded on tolerance and acceptance, we are hypocritical for supporting PC culture.
What the protesters are actually doing is selfish. They are pushing their own agenda in hopes of preventing people, including a female minority like me, from being exposed to differing opinions that challenge them to think critically. Furthermore, the fact that theyand many other college protestersequate speech with violence is concerning, since this logic can easily be used to excuse tactics that encroach on peoples free speech.

Her pro-liberty comments should be viewed as "normal" but ofc within leftist academia she will be ostracized. I hope she has a really thick skin, or will grow one, because she is sure to get a lot of liberal abuse for this column.
I lost all respect for Harvard when they allowed a black-only graduation ceremony.
Really? How does one get to be a member of a "protected class?"
Does she have a certificate, or something? Or is it just self-declaring?
Natalie, you’re a White Asian.
It used to be there were proud liberals who affirmed the principle which has been attributed to Voltaire, “I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It.”
Such liberals have nearly been extinguished in our time, replaced by all the hate-filled raging leftists who screech and threaten and in many cases engage in political violence.
P.s. There seems to be little doubt that Voltaire did not utter that exact sentence (in French of course), rather it was attributed to his way of thinking as a “Voltairean principle” by this writer:

LOL, true, it is a self-appointed “protected class”
All of the Leftard snowflakes consider themselves a protected class, but at least this one is willing to affirm a principle of liberty which is being destroyed by most on the left.
Protected class status is conferred by federal legislation, or sometimes by state legislation. You may be a member and not even know it.
I lost respect for most selective colleges when they bowed to Title IX.
Boy, is she in trouble!!!!
>>Being part of a protected class
There’s no such thing as a “protected class.” Constitutional rights are granted to the INDIVIDUAL. The fact that leftist think this way pretty much proves what they are seeking is truly special rights — something they deny and ridicule every time someone points it out.
I can’t wait to see the hate mail she gets.
