I had to sign documents and swear with right hand raised that I understood I would be deported if I even applied for any type of assistance...I wasn’t entitled to any as I wasn’t an American citizen..

I had to bring enough money to live on until I received my green card and could then work...usually 90 days...

Last I remember Ronald Reagan didn’t have kiosks set up in every urban hell hole handing out free smartphones to each and every hood rat under the sun like Obama did. This “program” should be axed. If the telecommunications industry wants to provide it and not pass the cost along to paying customers I’m all for it. Short of that, get rid of it.
