Dyjak did not include anything remotely approaching time-honored verse as part of the materials in the Advanced Creative Writing Poetry course, Kikkert claims. Instead, Dyjak assigned materials focused on lesbians, illicit sexual relationships, incest and frequent swearing.
At one point during the course, Dyjak also allegedly flashed her breasts to the whole class in the course of showing off a tattoo on her back.

Prolly more like a “d” or if this was music, a “d flat”
The headline sucks. The real story is that a liberal lesbian instructor’s idea of poetry was filthy lesbian porn stories and once flashed her boobs at the class. When a conservative 59 y.o. woman asked her for more appropriate material like Edgar Allen Poe, she was retaliated with an F.
Liberal college student? The student was protesting against the liberal college professor!!!!!!!!!!!!
Title is misleading. The professor is the one that flashed her breasts.
“So is the moral of this story that 59 year old breasts are not worth an “A” rating?’
Seems like a person posting a story would actually read the story first ...
Whoever wrote the headline never read the article.
Looks like a couple of “danglers!”
She needs college like a fish needs a bicycle.
False and dishonest headline.
The college student was not the liberal, the professor was. The college student did not flash her breasts, the leftist, female professor did.
The student signed up for a poetry class and the class was devoted entirely to gay and lesbian so called poems. When the student asked to study other poems she was given an F for no reason.
That is why she sued.
Fake news article.
Totally unprofessional attire for your online staff photo.
“She needs college like a fish needs a bicycle.”
What do you mean?
We should expect artists to be edgy. But, this implies that they have some idea of where the edge is, and that they make corrections when they miscalculate. When a comedian repeatedly makes jokes at the expense of Sarah Palin’s minor children and then against Donald Trump’s minor child, and also engages in gallows humor, she has demonstrated that her mind is too warped to be allowed to be on prime time. She should be relegated to minor venues in Greenwich Village and the like, where people engage in expression that is beyond the pale. Sorry, I do not believe in censorship. What I believe is that the marketplace should exercise some discretion.
Now, with regard to being graded in a poetry class, I would think that the course description and syllabus should make clear the bounds of the class, within the rules governing the entire campus. If nudity, vulgar language, defecation in public, and so forth are allowed, beyond societal norms, the public should be forewarned.
But, it is my impression that these things are allowed when used to express displeasure with Christians, men, heterosexuality, the family, private enterprise, white people, and so forth, while even scientific discussion of others is described as offensive and politically-incorrect.
As an example, a taxpayer-supported artist will produce The Piss Christ, but there is no taxpayer support for “The Piss Mohammed.” Or, a college will have a women’s studies department, but not a men’s studies department. Or, there will be a black history month, but not an Irish history month. Or, there will be affirmative action hiring of underrepresented minorities, but no concern that the liberal arts faculty is dominated by the left.
When you see the obvious unfairness of what is going on, you realize that the other side is simply following their script. They believe, as Marx and Nietzsche taught, that life is about struggle, conquest, war and oppression. They believe they have been losing, because decency, freedom, the rule of law and kindness have been on the rise; and, they intend to reverse the course of history. They will win, where Hitler, Stalin and Mao lost.
You’ll have to figure it out for yourself.
Think of it as an IQ test.
What’s an IQ test?
They were probably not worth an A.
“Youll have to figure it out for yourself.”
My interpretation is that you are jealous of those that can seek higher education.
Care to explain why?
“They were probably not worth an A.”
You get an F for comprehension.
Poetry is a hobby. Who needs an upper level college course to pursue a hobby? The only poets who can earn a living through their craft are songwriters. I daresay few of them learned their skill from a perfesser. Those who can, do; those who cannot, teach.
