On Monday, Floridas Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey doubled down on last weeks pro-self-defense comments by making clear that police respond to 911 calls in minutes but criminals take lives in mere seconds.
On June 9 Breitbart News reported Iveys earlier comments, wherein he urged citizens to get a gun, get mentally prepared, and let terrorists scratch and claw to defend their own lives for a change.

Bring on national reciprocity.
The editors at Florida Today must be foaming at the mouth in anger that the Sherriff would tell the truth.
Does Sheriff Ivey understand that NO ONE needs a gun?
It is totally unnecessary until the moment it is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY needed.
That is an old and corny saying, but 100% accurate.
My gun is a self-defense tool that I pray is NEVER needed, but kept handy. It is normal used as a paper-weight. Either way, it is useful.
LOL! WHAT? You mean they aren’t heaping praise on him for his honesty? Any of the usatoday run fish wrappers are a tad more useless than most of today’s print journals.
HAGs. How about Moms Impugning Legal Firearms, MILF!

The average response time for a 911 call is 20 minutes. The average response time for a 45 ACP is 850 feet per second. Which is best?
That is racist.
Using a 45 to defend yourself might lead to senseless deaths like Travon Martin. If Martin had been allowed to continue to beat that white Hispanics head into the concrete, Travon would still be alive today.
It is better to let the police respond and call an ambulance for your bloody body than it is to take an innocent life.
We don't need gun control, we need gun safety! /sarc
