Sometimes this is the way that sub rosa diplomacy gets done. I wouldn’t be quick to label Rodman a traitor. He might well be a very unlikely courier.

While I didn’t say so, I agree.

I don’t care who is used to break the ice and make headway.

It’s not like Rodman would have to know state secrets to establish a bridgehead here.

He could simply state a willingness from Trump to talk things out and reduce tensions.

Simply expressing the U.S. lack of interest in invading North Korea might help.

Kim is a wing-nut, but even wing-nuts can begin to move in other directions. It’s not like we couldn’t move back to square one at a moments notice too.

Rodman is visiting as a private citizen personally known to Donald Trump. Rodman is a personal citizen also known to Kim.
