OAKLAND, Calif. -- Kevin Durant capped his spectacular first season with the Warriors by bringing home that coveted NBA championship he joined Golden State last July so determined to get, scoring 39 points in a fast-and-furious, Finals-clinching 129-120 victory over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.

Only NBA game I watched all year but it was a thing to behold. The passion and teamwork of both teams was thrilling.

I’ll give Durant credit. He wasn’t just riding along for a title. He was the MVP of the team and throughout these playoffs. He stepped up his game even more

Exciting game.
Sent my 13 year old son to the Warriors Basketball Camp years ago.

GSW might not even have been in the finals if their dirty player Pachulia had not taken out Kawhi Leonard of San Antonio.
Up until that injury, the Spurs looked like more than GSW could handle.

Cleveland let Game 3 get away, that killed em.

I assume I’m the least knowledgable person here regarding BB. Suppose that Durant, Curry, Thompson and Green stay healthy and stay together, which team other than Cleveland has any realistic hope to make the finals next year? Who does any given team need to add to their existing personnel? Including Cleveland?

True. It was close and competitive.

Of course when Bruce Bowen did the exact same defensive play, Pop (the I hate Trump Coach of the Spurs) thought differently...

As of the next 2 possibly 3 years I can’t see any other team compete on the same level as GS. They are fairly young with 4 elite players but has the experience along with that. No other team can match that right now or attempt (create a super team) in this 2-3 year span of GS dominance because whoever join to create a super team won’t be experience enough throughout playoffs...and know what to do in tough situations. You need an experience coach (Kerr is fairly new coach but was there during Michael Jordan’s Bulls run) he knows what it takes
To: fatez
It was poetic justice for the dirtiest team in basketball.
