Stimulus program to incentivize using electronic health records 'vulnerable to abuse'
An Obama administration program to encourage the use of electronic health records made over $729 million in erroneous payments, according to a new audit.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services also paid dead doctors for enrolling in its program, the audit, released by the agency's inspector general Monday, revealed.
"From May 2011 through June 2014, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services paid an estimated $729 million in Medicare electronic health record incentive payments to eligible professionals who did not comply with Federal requirements," the inspector general said. "In addition, it paid $2.3 million in inappropriate electronic health record incentive payments to eligible professionals who switched incentive programs."

Bet many of those medical scammers had foreign names. Doctors from other countries have bilked US taxpayers out of billions in fraudulent Medicare payments.
I wonder how many of those “doctors” were abortionists?
crap care candy store was open and everything is free

Hmm,
I just clicked both links above and they worked for me.
Add this all to the fact that there was no appreciable security on their stupid site and how many people got money stolen from them through obama's people using private info to their own benefit?
If somebody would do all the research the true amount is probably well over a billion.
I bet you would be hard pressed to find a conservative among those receiving erroneous payments.
Obama laundered 100’s of billions of dollars
obama and the deems should be made to repay all these loses for their hair brained schemes of “programs” that were nothing more then bleeding the government monies in any and every way they could.
Got it now, thanks. The original thread ended at “snip” and now the link shows up. The top one didn’t come in at all...All’s well.

It’s not just the medical profession. Try any business/profession,(used cars for example)and that’s the way they operate - they learned it in their home countries and found out they can still operate the same way here...It usually takes a good investigative reporter to ferret out the fraud for the government agencies and then they get busy making the public think they were doing their job. Have never understood why they don’t know we’ve figured them out!
On the flip side, many doctors had to “game the system” to try to justify treatments/tests that needed to be done. I watched a pain doctor try a few dozen codes trying to get authorization for an MRI of my spine because none of the codes matched up with ‘authorized” pieces of the puzzle they made of it by trying to come up with a code for every possible (and so many arcane and stupid) possible injuries/ailments.
