I was 12 the first time I felt the crippling cramps. I hadnt yet gotten my period and was happily running around a state fair with my best friend, mouth full of cotton candy, when it hit me: a steady drum of pain beneath my pubic bone, a throbbing in my back that made its way down both my legs. I fell to the muddy ground. Suddenly the Ferris wheel was a nightmare, the carnival games distorted and unpleasant. I blacked out.

lolololol
Odd thing though, my ex wife was like Lena as well and went on birth control in her teens because of irregular and painful cycles; and it helped.
But I would make a private donation in this case, if it will stop Lena Dunham from every reproducing.
Like Akroyd said to Curtain, "Not only would I have approved it, I would have performed it myself!"
FREE! FREE! FREEEE! Lena, you ignorant slut!
Sheesh....look at your diet, or that of your daughters....give them lemon flavored cod liver oil and cut the processed food..
Might help. Hormones to young girls is NOT good.
I fail to understand why government paying for birth control is this big feminist issue?
It is the same with Clarance Thomas. He is not “authentically black” because he is conservative.
Dear Lena,
Thank you for taking the time away from your busy schedule of abusing your younger sister and making boring television shows. We certainly appreciate your knowledgeable medical opinions. Make sure that you conflate birth control with the other fine services of Planned Parenthood, namely murdering babies. Furthermore, conflate the medical use of oral contraceptives with their use as, well, contraceptives. Maybe you can confuse the easily confused readers of the “Paper of Record” that those mean republicans want women to suffer the pain of menstruation because they’re just mean. Especially Trump.
Ordinarily, I would sympathize with a woman who suffers from severe menstrual symptoms, regardless of her politics. However, in the case of Lena Dunham, we have no reason to believe that any of it is true.
“Hey, lady...if it bothers you that much, have a hysdirectomy.”
Really. Its not like she’ll be using that stuff for its intended purpose.
Maybe she should think about the life of pain she gave to her sister by molesting her instead of wanting everything given to her for free. Feminists are some crazy people. They claim they are independent and strong, yet all I hear from them is: I want my birth control paid for, I want my period supplies paid for, I want my college paid for, I want my medical care paid for, I want my child support paid for, I want alimony after divorcing, etc. It’s never ending. If you’re such a strong (haha) independent woman, why can’t you pay for these things yourself? It’s not like birth control or period supplies are going to break the bank.
Since she makes millions through bad/vulgar acting somehow, why doesn’t she pay for the poor, poor unfortunates that can’t afford to or don’t want to pay their own supplies through a charity? We always hear of how wonderful and giving leftists are.
Lena, I am sure putting pebbles in little girls’ vaginas like you did to your sister might cause pain as well.
So we all need to pay $3,000+ each month for Obamacare insurance with a $6,000 deductible that no hospitals or doctors will accept so she doesn’t have to pay $5 a month for birthday control pills at Wal-Mart.
Good post. Yldstrk does use single line personal attacks. Wish FR had an ignore function.
Who is taking away contraceptives?
This is a straw woman argument.
Do we pay for the drugs for someone with chronic knee pain? Back pain? Migraines?
Why does one form of pain trump other forms of pain?
Get whatever medicine you need and get over it. Nobody wants to hear her complaints. Nobody wants to hear about her menstrual problems. Women all over the world have these issues and its not even remotely interesting what Lena Dunham has going on.
This person is just self obsessed.
They are so cheap people could actually pay for it themselves!
I paid for my own pills, and I think most women can too if they prioritize properly. That said, I too had the kind of crippling cramps that make you vomit and then pass out. And I TRIED to get a hysterectomy... doctors won't perform one on a young woman with no children. They flatly refuse. Or at least, they did in the 1980s, and I doubt much has changed.
She is disgusting. A bottle of whiskey and an overdose of Viagra wouldn’t even work and the government wouldn’t even be involved.
Selfish women.... it’s all about self... life has no meaning....
My sister fed her only daughter a lot of junk/prepackaged food. She started her period at 9. My daughter started at 15.5 years and has milder periods.
Lena the Liar strikes again. Where to start with this drivel?
First, cramps do not come on suddenly, so the pain cannot “drive one to one’s knees”. That isn’t even a labor pain at the beginning.
Second, birth control does not alleviate cramps. Take three ibuprofen.
Third, childbirth doesn’t alleviate cramps either, contrary to what women are told. Not even after four babies did my cramps subside.
The Democrats tried to make free birth control and entitlement for the same reason they create every entitlement. Votes.
Lena loves to talk about her vile filthy female parts. It’s disgusting.
