Congressional Investigators Probe James Comey Leak Network
Breitbart ^ | June 9, 2017 | Ian Mason

Posted on 06/10/2017 8:01:39 AM PDT by HarleyLady27

A bipartisan group of powerful senators is asking the man believed to have helped ex-FBI Director James Comey leak his infamous “let this go” memo to the media to produce that memo for them. Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-DE) — the chairs and ranking Democrats of the Senate Judiciary Committee and its National Security Subcommittee — sent a letter Thursday to Columbia Law Professor Daniel Richman demanding he provide them with the original memo he supposedly leaked to CNN on Comey’s say-so.

damned if he did and damned if he didn’t...

If there WAS a written/emailed memo, he leaked Gov’t material.

If he didn’t, then he made up something and reported it as truth under oath.

The professor supposedly left house and is currently in hiding at the moment.

Another fleeing felon?

Mr. Professor along with Hussein, Hillary and their supporting group of felons can run, but they'll only be out of breath when they are arrested.

I wonder if the Federal Prison system has orange jump suits large enough to fit a six foot eight criminal?

> If memos exist, there is no way Comey does not have the originals or at least copies.

Are you saying that the head of the FBI - someone who has worked with evidence (in the legal/investigative/criminal sense) for decades and understands prosecution, chain-of-custody rules, etc. - wouldn’t be stupid enough to create valid evidence at the time of a possible crime and then face a potential loss/theft of that evidence or questions about the chain-of-custody by giving it to a private citizen?

I’ve got to agree. In over a decade of working at highest levels of government, it’s the first time he felt the need to generate evidence this way. There is no chance he would break basic investigation/prosecution rules for something that important if the evidence existed. On the other hand, if they were not written at the time he says, but rather after he was fired, he would not want any chance of investigators getting hold of them and determining something isn’t right.

Could be that Comey is trying to get out in front of the s**tstorm he can see on the horizon.

Comey is dirty. Audit the bastard. It would be justice if it were discovered that he’s being “funded” by someone - Clinton, Soros...

Where are the articles from December, January and February about removing Comey as Director of the FBI? Is he so powerful those who objected to him have gone to ground? Will Muller be any bettor, has he become politicized also?

The Swamp is deeper and more treacherous than most realized. Thank you POTUS and DOJ Sessions for standing firm for the American people regardless of the Fake News heaped against you...........Keeping the heat off the Clinton's and other Obama plants is a full time job for the Left...and is keeping the Russian story alive....everyone talks to various people from other nations be they ambassadors or heads of state....don't let the DOJ fall victim to the Russian myth.....Comey worked for the Clinton's and is a political pawn...the FBI needs leadership other than a politically correct pawn.

Yup. Given McCain’s state of mind, he’d go after Howdy Doodie or Wily Cayote.

I assume it was a handwritten memo. Comey testified that he gave it to his boyfriend and he doesn’t know where it is now. If it was a computer memo then he would know it was on his hard drive. From his testimony it would appear that it was done by hand. I do those all the time.

But I doubt if there was ever a memo. It was just a story.

Comey better STHU and keep a low profile. He committed a felony by leaking the memo, or if there is no memo, he committed a folony by lying about it.

He needs to go into hiding with his boyfriend. Unfortunately I don’t think Russia will give them asylum.

This clown is a partisan hack and worse for whatever reason he hated trump before he was elected. He should have resigned as he had no ethics. If you cannot be “loyal” as in not a back stabbed you do the right thing. He found nothing wrong with anything the brown bomber did or hitlery but conjures up problems for trump over nothing.

The fact that Comey shared the memo back in February with multiple people means there might be additional leakers in the F B I. Not just Comey, but what if there are several leakers in the F B I trying to take down a sitting President?

There are other concerns with source of the ‘memo,’ which the Times is surprisingly forthcoming on. The Times reported that they never saw the memo themselves, but that it was read to them over the phone by an associate of Comey. This alone casts doubts because the full context of the memo is not revealed and it is likely a slanted interpretation. However, even accepting the readout as completely accurate, the story told shouldn’t lead to shouts of impropriety. It is revealed that, ‘Mr. Comey shared it with senior F.B.I. officials.’ If there was any indication that something wrong was done, it would mean these senior officials are implicated in covering up a crime committed by the President. Instead, after review, they decided that silence on the memo ‘would not affect the investigation.’ The Times tries to play this off with further editorializing, but the damage is done. Multiple senior FBI officials reviewed the memo and saw the behavior as legal. Otherwise, silence on the memo would dramatically affect the investigation.
