Tories + DUP will get 327-329 seats. A majority is supposed to be 326, but since the 7 Sinn Fein members won’t take their seats the actual majority will be 322.
Yes.
Actually a very good thing those filthy IRA scum wiped out the SDLP.
NI is now almost a 2 party country, independent Sylvia Hermon, a former UPP member who votes like she’s in Labour and left her former party over the 2010 vote alliance with the Tories, narrowly won reelection and is the only NI MP not in SF or the DUP.
BTW DJ just called May the UK Kim Campbell.
:o
They might force her out anyway, leadership election, holy crap.
She needs to resign, like today. She’s toast.
That "youth vote" will annihilate the last remaining conservative western governments within the next few years.
The last bet for the world is Asia. However, the majority of their wealthy and influential kids are being educated in Western "thinking" schools and universities.
Yup....bloody future for the Western world.
314 with 6 left.
Zac Goldsmith, the Tory TWERP who lost to the Muslim in the London Mayoral election, then resigned his seat to protest AN AIRPORT RUNWAY, and LOST the resulting by-election in a landslide to the Lib Dums
has regained his seat by 45 votes.
315 with 4 left
Sky news sources say May will not resign.
Tories hold St. Ives.
Only 4 seats uncalled, 1 possible Labour gain/Tory loss remaining, Kensington in London.
BREAKING: British PM Theresa May has no intention of resigning, @SkyNews reports
Sanders is not a Marxist. He is a Scandinavian style Social Democrat. However, the US far left, and Marxist/Leninists I have observed locally are trying to co-opt him because he is the only likely game in town for them.
Kensington in like the third recount, tired counters SENT HOME for rest
If you honeymoon in the old USSR you’re a Commie
I keep hearing it was a mistake to have the election, wrong. She was up 17%, it was a good decision.
The mistake was running an awful campaign that blew the lead!
Agreed
The result of centralized administration. Give people no role in pursuit of their own interests, and they become passive in their own defense. DeTocqueville had it all nailed almost 200 years ago.
The mistake was not coming out strongly enough against Islamic terrorism. From what I have read, it seems her ratings went down after Manchester and, particularly since she had to suspend her campaign, really plunged after the London Bridge attacks just before the election. She came out with some mealy mouthed statements and the Brits are sick of that.
and they’ll get strong anti terrorism stance from the left?
The slide had already started beforehand but her weak response to the attacks surely didn’t help.
