Sounds good to me!
yes indeed.
DUP supporting a Tory minority government more likely than a coalition I think.
It was thought in 2015 that might be the result but Tories overperformed a little.
Another Tory gain in Scotland! Great night for Scottish Tories. They haven’t won more than one seat since 1992.
Support on confidence might be more likely, but if I was the DUP under the circumstances, I’d be going for a more formal agreement even if it doesn’t quite get to full Coalition status. But again - wait and see. The result isn’t going well for the Conservatives, but I wouldn’t rule out them creeping over the line yet.
Amazingly, it seems like Labor is getting the lion’s share of the UKIP voters. How stupid are those people?
What did the Tories do to earn their votes?
Tories just took one, Clacton (?) from UKIP.
Conservatives down -3 - still 19 behind labor
Yes, why the change? I have been watching Skynews but they have not explained the switch to the Conservatives.
Scotland & N.Ireland may yet save the day.
Well no not the lion’s share, more for the tories, but too much to Labour.
In 2015 they did take a lot of leave votes from Labour in parts of England, looks like they went back home.
Lame!!!
More like Paul Ryan.
I admit I only casually follow British politics. But how could any party that would have Diane Abbott as Home Secretary (were they to take a a majority) make gains? It would be like putting Patty Murray in charge of Homeland Security!
This was not totally unexpected in Scotland
The thought was Labour couldn’t win so unionists in Scotland were going Tory to beat the SNP. Tories were projected to gain some seats
But it seems to be stronger than expected, some of these called so far were considered safe SNP.
Most of these areas were Tory before the SNP rise.
Big swings to the tories (from the SNP) in Scotland also helped Labour come up the middle and take back a couple seats there.
Most of these areas were Tory before the SNP rise.
OK, sure. The point I was making was not really whether you’d been wandering around the streets of London, it was about what the streets of London look like now. I don’t think THAT’s in question.
The SNP rise when they first won seats in the 80’s not their 2015 rise which was at Labour expense.
BTW, Sun’s honeycomb map is pretty cool. Reminds me of some classic military board games.
Paul Ryan won a majority!
