Classified leak? I did not hear much of the testimony. Comey is trash plus a damn liar.

He committed Perjury today. They should hang him out to dry.
His hatred of Trump blinded him in his role as a Hostile Witness.

I wasted some good time on that red herring but the timeline is off and Comey is good there. Seems OANN got the timeline screwed up and the first article was about conversations and not the actual memos.

I'd argue that Comey's bogus justification for leaking is immaterial. He confessed the act. There is no justification for it, bogus of not. He leaked privileged communication, and he never made an effort to air that concern through the proper channels.
The ramifications of this lie go straight to Comey's credibility, and we, the public, are the jurors weighing his testimony.
I noticed that NOBODY on the committee felt that the leak was a problem, and all of the member of the committee apprised Comey as honest, totally honest.
That is troubling to me.

Comey would be in a lot of trouble after his testimony today if it were a sane world.
Comey would be in a lot of trouble if he was not a true-blue and loyal UniParty team player. No harm - to the UniParty - no foul. In fact, he can expect cushy appointments to corporate boards and well-paying do-nothing jobs from here on out. They do take care of their own.

Yeah, he might want to start looking around for a big set of drapes to hang out in for awhile.

He had a chance to put down the shovel and walk away. Idiot

So the brilliant Comey leaks information with the stated intent to get Sessions to recuse himself, and when Sessions does, Comey, as the leader of the FBI, does not even read the memo announcing the very recusal he tried to engineer?
Even Stevie Wonder could see what a load of crap that is!

On May 3rd he said under oath he had not been pressured but now he says he “felt” he was. Which time was he lying.

" Perjury is tough becuase it required proving "knowing lie" and the lie has to be "material."
Tell that to Scooter Libby.
To: djpg
It’s at least as bad as Scooter Libby’s mis-remembering. Give Comey the same punishment.

James Comey is Lois Lerner but with too much ego and hubris to listen to his lawyers advice plead the fifth.

I know the Libby case pretty well. Libbied misled the investigators, on purpose, to keep heat off the WH. The reson Libbies misleading was material was that the investigators were looking for sources of leaks (there can be more than one).
Contrast with Comey ADMITTING he leaked. I don't care if he lies about the reason, he's already confessed the deed.

So YOU think that Trumop shouldn't have fired that POS Comey...ever?
Your opinion is ridiculous!

A Conservative Tree House article, "
James Comey Timeline on Not Informing Jeff Sessions Doesnt Add Up
," questions how in the meeting with the FBI leadership team immediately after his February 14 meeting, Comey referred to Sessions, "
who we expected would likely recuse himself from involvement in the Russia-related investigations" The Sessions controversy wasn't revealed until March 1 and Sessions didn't recuse himself from the Russian investigation until March 2.

"I have decided to recuse myself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States."I interpret the plural 'campaigns' as meaning Trump's GOP primary campaign and the general election campaign. It would not make sense for JS to recuse himself from investigating the Hildebeast's campaigns.

The rope tightens.
Also heard on FOX that a named source believes Mueller allowed Comey to testify ONLY because there is no case even now against Trump, for “collusion”.

As I recall it, Libby misremembered a meeting with Bob Woodward and claimed it was with Tim Russert. Russert disputed his account, but Woodward came forward and said that Libby’s account was accurate except that he had met with Woodward and not Russert.
The prosecutor knew that Libby was not the leaker and knew who the real leaker was, but prosecuted Libby for perjury for making a mistake that anyone could have made in a similar situation. And that rat Bush let him rot in jail for it and didn’t even have the decency to give him a full pardon at the end of the day.
There wasn’t any reason to ‘take the heat off the administration’, because the real leaker wasn’t even sanctioned for the supposed crime. But hey, maybe I remember it wrong.
