Nobody in the Senate is holding up Trump's nominees.

The delay in getting Trump's nominees confirmed is all in their vetting process -- which comes down on Trump's administration, not Congress.

There was a story posted a couple of days ago indicating that there are only FIVE executive branch nominees awaiting confirmation votes in their respective Senate committees. It was a relevant news item this week because the U.S. currently does not have an ambassador to Great Britain, for example -- even though Trump announced two months ago that he had selected Robert Wood Johnson IV for that post.

Keep in mind that a person isn't officially nominated when the President announces his selection. The person first has to go through a vetting process and background check, then gets formally nominated and sent to the Senate for confirmation.

I really don’t know who you’d think Sessions or anyone else would pick.

They Clintons don’t need that—Comey is a family friend of the Clintons for possibly multiple decades.

Who is Comey’s friend, and what is the friend’s relationship to the Clintons? Who is Comey’s friend, and why would a journalist trust the friend as a legitimate source?

I think it could be illegal since it was for the purpose of causing the hiring of a special prosecutor which infers that there is a crime involved.

He should have been asked why do it through a FRIEND and not do it himself

Comey met with (colluded with) his buddy Mueller before testifying.

Mueller is tainted. He is one of them.

Trump needs to fire Mueller and appoint a Patriot.

Nominations aside, it's time to dangle Chao's job in front of McConnell to get him moving in the right direction on Trump's agenda.

Contemporary notes taken by a member of executive branch of a conversation between that official and the president are not the personal property of the official. After Comey was fired, those notes were no longer his notes to leak. By directing a “Friend” to leak the contents of that memo, Comey apparently committed a crime. In the end we may find that all the other leaks of the FBI investigation were coming from “Friends” of Comey.

"The memo, written contemporaneously, (meaning very recently) documented Comey's Oval Office meeting with President Trump during which the president allegedly asked him to drop the investigation into COMEY told Trump he should 'drop' former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Comey testimony:

“But then the explanations, the shifting explanations, confused me and increasingly concerned me. They confused me because the president and I had multiple conversations about my job and he had repeatedly told me I was doing a great job and had hoped I would stay.”

“I am just a cave man. I was found by your scientists frozen in ice. Your world confuses and frightens me. Sometimes I feel like jumping out of my FBI limousine and running across across Pennsylvania Avenue, or something. I sometimes look at my Blackberry and wonder, are there demons in there doing the typing?”

“But one thing I do know, and that is that a Special Counsel was needed to be appointed in order to investigate the Trump administration over any possible links with Russians and that it was important for me to leak to the New York Times anything that would prompt the appointment of such a Special Counsel.”

“Shortly after his dismissal as head of the FBI, James Comey authorized “a close friend” to leak the contents of his memos to the press in order to prompt a special counsel investigation.”

Collusion between Comey and Justice Department.

Technically he didn’t give it to the press; he gave it to “a friend.”

The reason lawyers are so revered by guilty people.

Beginning to wonder why Comey thinks he’s so “bullet proof”...

I don’t think Comey is the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he’s not stupid enough to commit a crime and then describe it on national TV.

I don't think you watched his testimony today.

Sceptics might think that having your mentor and BFF in charge of the investigation might give some degree of comfort but hey not everyone is a sceptic.

Statement from President Trump's Lawyer:

"Mr. Comey admitted that he unilaterally and surreptitiously made unauthorized disclosures to the press of privileged communications with the President.

The leaks of this privileged information began no later than March 2017 when friends of Mr. Comey have stated he disclosed to them the conversations he had with the President during their January 27, 2017 dinner and February 14, 2017 White House meeting.

Today, Mr. Comey admitted that he leaked to friends his purported memos of these privileged conversations, one of which he testified was classified.

He also testified that immediately after he was terminated he authorized his friends to leak the contents of these memos to the press in order to “prompt the appointment of a special counsel.”

Comey is done.

Imagine the sphincter pucker factor at the F B I about now.

I hope nobody shows up dead by tomorow morning.

Arkancide is in the air.
