If Comey has such a bad relationship with Trump that they should not be in the same room alone together, Comey should have resigned as FBI director. And if he did not resign, Trump should have fired him for that reason alone. If an FBI director and a President don’t trust each other, one of them has to go, and it should not be the elected President but the appointed bureaucrat.
