>>Why? Was Trump packing heat in the WH?

Common progressapoodle triggers...

Rolling eyes.
Crossing arms.
Eating garlic for lunch.
Farting.

OMG, The Horror!

Doesn't matter as long as they "feel" threatened.  The herd will always bleat sympathetically.

"PIP seems to have become a popular tool to the new generation middle managers for the purpose of a "homogeneous team".  That is, PIP has become an acceptable and common practice to get rid of the "black horse" employee that is typically high-skilled and highly productive, thus at odds with a team of mostly mediocre members (including the manager) and hard to terminate based on pure work performance."

In this case, the "black horse" target is the POTUS.

What a wimp! How did he ever get his job as Director of the FBI?

If the Russians were laying waste to the Democrat Party and the election, why did he only meet with Obama twice in four years, and the second time was to tell him goodbye? This makes no sense.

American culture is increasingly impotent and infantile.

I think this is being misconstrued.

It was Comey himself who reported that he asked Sessions to keep Trump from initiating one-on-one conversations with him. This alleged conversation with Sessions is described in the statement Comey released yesterday.

If it is true that Comey made this request, then Sessions could corroborate Comey’s claim.

Regardless of whether it’s true, Comey’s stated reason for making the request was clear in the context of his statement: he wanted witnesses present in future conversations in case any of Trump’s requests or questions might rise to a level of inappropriateness or obstruction.

I think if Comey was genuinely worried about it, this could be seen as a reasonable reaction. The idea suggested by some people here - that Comey was afraid of Trump or intimidated by him - doesn’t fit with the context of Comey’s statement.

I see it as a CYA move. Similar to a male high school teacher I know who sometimes teaches girls, and who at times has requested a second teacher to be present.

The reason was that one or more of the girls seemed to be flirting and or engaging in borderline behavior - eye contact or mannerisms - that might possibly be provocative and/or may lead to false accusations regarding HIS behavior.

He wasn’t sure what was taking place or if there was anything at all taking place, but in any case he wanted an adult witness to be present. I guess you could say he was “afraid to be alone” with the girl, but not afraid of the girl - if you get the distinction.

Another example is where male dentists have someone else in the room when using knock-out gas on a woman - it’s to protect the dentist from false accusations as much as to protect the woman from abuse.

Same with cops having a body camera - it protects them from false accusations as much as it protects the arrestee.

I’m not defending Comey in general, or saying he is telling the truth, or saying that there was any basis for his concerns.

I’m just saying that I can imagine a scenario where he was unsure whether Trump might ask something of him that was inappropriate and wanted witnesses in case that happened.

My opinion of Comey’s statement is that, regardless of how soon he wrote the notes, it is one man’s recollection of conversations and therefore of zero value as evidence of anything - unless it turns out there are recordings these recollections mean nothing.

Anyway, there is nothing in Comey’s account that even suggests Trump did anything wrong.

Trump “hoped” the FBI could go easy on Flynn. Trump wanted loyalty. Trump asked if Comey could go public with the fact that he (Trump) was not under investigation. There’s no there there.

Begged Sessions not to leave him alone with Trump.
Does not inform Sessions about “possible” Obstruction of Justice.

He was the highest law-enforcement official in the land, but too timid to be alone in a room with his boss.

Someone that pussified has no business doing anything more than picking up trash in a McDonald's parking lot.

I did not mention that the President broached the FBI's potential investigation of General Flynn.

He is trying very hard to say he was ordered to drop Flynn investigation without opening himself to charges he personally broke the law. In any case he leaves questions to what his testimony really is that the media can exploit.

Comey can do fake, stupid, dumb investigations and coverup for the Democrats, but he can’t be alone with the President.

Anyway, there is nothing in Comey’s account that even suggests Trump did anything wrong.

Comey has repeatedly said that Trump ordered him to drop the Flynn investigation without actually saying he was ordered. Every MSM clown will repeatedly tell the story of how Trump ordered him to drop the Russia investigation. Watch for it.

Bob Mueller will cover for Comey count on it. This whole plot was hatched long before Trump was sworn in and whether he knew it or not the midget that recused himself from the Russia probe was complicit. Without that step there would have been no best friend of Comey as Special Council.

Both Obamas, Clapper, Koskinen, both Clintons, Lerner, Holder, Rice, Lynch and on-and-on—they all lied under oath to Congress and walked away like freshly plucked chickens, carefree and gay.
Congress is a bitch.
I don’t know why Comey would be worried about spinning a yarn to them to try and hurt President Trump. Even if the president has better evidence than Comey’s notes that contradict Comey/show he’s lying, all Comey would have to do is say (in code) “Guys, I gave it my best shot. Like Lois, I’m off to enjoy my pension. Oh well. Next batter up ... “

BTW the Portland Oregon judge who violated her oath of office in helping an illegal alien escape. Has she slipped through the cracks too?

No clue and I doubt anything more will be mentioned in the news.
