This probably goes to the top levels of the DNC.
She communicated via her own private email account.
She sent the document by some form of snail-mail - as printed on paper.
Doesn’t the government even vet people anymore before they allow employees/contractos access to top secret material?
Her political activity and social media postings self identify her as radical and anti-government.
NOBODY would have hired this person after reviewing her Social Media accounts, and that includes a firm that provides cleared contractors for secret/top secret work and the government itself.

I don't think we know that. The DOJ affidavit says this:

In either case, whether her personal account or an NSA account was used to communicate with The Intercept there is something suspicious going on here.
Why, if she was communicating with The Intercept would she not simply transmit the documents? Why would she create a hard copy and snail mail them? Why would the NSA not already be aware that one of its contractors was using one of its computers to communicate with a news source? Why would either she -- or The Intercept -- think it would not be monitored? Why wasn't her email communication on an NSA computer not monitored? Why would the reporter take a hard copy to a meeting with an NSA employee for the sake of verifying the story?
None of this adds up.

Gosh, I don't know about that. Keep in mind that Jeff Sessions is now AG. (One has to wonder if the original travel ban would've been messed up if he had been appointed in a reasonable amount of time). It might be that he made the decision, considering the treason that permeates the court system, to have a "slam dunk" for the first arrest.
Every indication is that Trump is serious about leakers. There might be a problem that some swampthings have found their way into the Trump inner circle. He's too slow about getting them out of the loop and stopping them from expressing their views publicly.

I seem to remember something about a hacking program that could be made to look like the Russians were responsible. Perhaps she was chosen because of her ardent socialism that would keep her from talking even if she went to prison. Once there, she can be quietly liquidated.
