A 25-year-old federal contractor is facing charges she leaked a classified National Security Agency document to a news outlet in May.
The charges against Reality Leigh Winner came about an hour after the publication of a story based on an NSA document detailing Russian attempts to hack American voting systems in 2016.
President Trump has been pushing Justice to go after leakers inside the federal government, which he has identified as "the big story" when it comes to Russia's involvement in the 2016 presidential election. Winner's arrest could signal the federal government is going to aggressively investigate and prosecute individuals who send classified intelligence to news organizations.
Trump and other Republican allies in Washington have made pursuing leakers one of their top priorities, but Winner is the first to face charges for releasing classified intelligence.
Winner, of Augusta, Ga., is facing charges that she removed classified material from a government facility and mailed it to a news outlet. She was arrested on Saturday and appeared on the charge Monday.

Didn’t know she was former military. Bradley is a disturbed individual. My inference was that when a cleared individual starts thinking they’re “smarter” than the rest, the problems start. Saw it in minor forms among phD’s in the underground nuke test program who couldn’t be bothered to follow “nit picky” rules.
NSA attempted to break into Georgia’s system but they were stopped AND they were caught.

HA! college interns have top secret clearances. they have student accounts setup to access the Top Secret, Secret, and Unclassified networks of NSA and DIA.

There have been political leaks that have come out of North Laurel/Annapolis Juction/Odenton, Maryland before. Particularly during the Bush (43) admin.
Go to Ft Meade and see all the military personnel walking around NSA HQ and they’re young (under 25) and involved with intelligence. They have the highest clearance. It’s not unusual.
The need for contractors varies by organization and within the DoD. I was a contractor for an Army headquarters that suffered a 50% cut in uniformed personnel. However the mission was not cut (and actually broadened).
The only way to meet all the requirements was to hire contractors for non-decision making roles. The command has to dip into operating funds to pay for them. In order to replace uniformed personnel who were paid by the Army as a whole.

So after seeing the last administration enlist the aid of foreign intel agencies to meddle in the election, seeing DHS infiltrate several states elections just after the last authoritarian admin tried forcing them in as the de facto oversight, all those other grossly erroneous if not fraudulent “reports” from the intel community WE KNOW WE CANNOT TRUST AND KNOW TO SERVE INTERNATIONALIST INTERESTS AND OPPOSED TO OUR OWN SOVEREIGNTY, we’re supposed to now give a damn in the middle of this whole charade unraveling at a million different points? The fact that she hasn't rolled up her FB account and closed it down indicates that she isn't much of a genius. At a minimum, she hasn't lawyered up. She really needs to lower her profile a LOT.
